In 2016 I had the opportunity to put on a unique grip contest Living Legends. To hear all about it check out Motivation and Muscles podcast with Andrew Durniat.

Before I get to the big announcement I need to thank everyone who supported the 2016 event.

·       Aaron Concorran also known as the mystery athlete ?????????. That was just a ton of fun leading into the event.

·       Jedd Johnson for helping promoting the contest.

·       Rich Cottrell for hiring the video crew and producing the DVD of the event.

·       The “old man” who puts up with me week after week to make the equipment for FBBC.

·       All the athletes who came in to make this a unique event.

 This may have to be a 2 day event. Plan on having 2 to 3 events on Friday afternoon, and a long day on Saturday more than likely this will be tweaked but better to plan for more than less.

Legendary: Open to all. No restriction on size, age, or weight.

 Open: Open to all men from all weight classes. Weight Classes will go as follows. Classes with less than 3 athletes will be combined in a logical manor.

 Individual Events:

 Athletes can register for a single event as a stand-alone. Example if someone does not wish to participate in the entire contest but run 1 or more events as a stand-alone they will be able to go for the event win.

  

Women’s Class:  Open to all women from all weight classes.

  

Weigh in for Records purposes

Weigh In will begin at 9:00 AM

Rules at 9:30 PM

Contest Start Time – 10:00 AM

Scoring table for Blob and Inch Medley, order will go heaviest lifted 1st with tie breakers going to fastest loaded. For those in strongman this is just like how they do stone to platform events.

Volunteers

Looking for Judges, objective is to have a single Judge for each event and then swap the Judge out after the event. Hope is not burn any one person out, and allow competitors to judge classes they are not a part of.

 

Judges will receive an event shirt and a free entry into an individual event.

Entry Fee's 

Super Early 65$ if received by 12/31/2017

Early Registration $75 If received 12/31/2018

Entry Fee $100 and is to be paid to Andrew Pantke by paypal, or mail. Entry after July 1 2019 will not be guaranteed an event shirt.  There will be an additional liability and release form to be signed at the contest.

Individual events will be $45 for the 1st event and $10 for each additional event.

Double hammers still working out the exact details but here is what I know so far. 

If you need a setup contact @Lucasraymond he can set you up. 

Women class will use the loadable setup.

Open: TBD

Legends: Hammers either a pair of 10's or 12's.

Question 

The legends class uses a 2” Saxon and the open class uses a 2.5” Saxon. Is that correct, the Legends use a smaller pinch?

Nope that's wrong I'm going to have the Legends and Open class use the same equipment. That way we can set up less platforms. I'll get that fixed. Thanks for bringing that up.
