climber511
Something I value is my old results – in comps as well as where I stood at various times on the Top 50 lists - the feats I have managed etc. One thing about the old paper magazines and /or books is that nothing disappeared into the ether so to speak of the internet. It is my fear that results and records might be forgotten over time under our current systems. Pictures come and go – videos the same. Competition results get buried in the clutter that is the online experience. So a suggestion for all of you (that I wish I had done) is to print hard copies of all your feats of strength – contest results – training lifts etc as well as backups of your photos and videos. 20 – 30 – 40 years from now you be glad you did.
bencrush
This is sage advice! I have printed off quite a bit over the years and it has been interesting to go back and see what I was doing at various points in time.
gripmaniac
A very good point Chris. Just last week I happened across a copy of a grip comp report I wrote in 2007. I think document file itself was on a long dead PC. Pretty sure I have a backup (somewhere) of the pics I took, but those few sheets of paper are the only place listing the weights and results. I need a better storage and preservation plan. . . . . Dave
