Here is a link to a piece out of IronMind's News about a week ago:

http://ironmind.com/news/Grip-Alert-Alexey-Tyukalov-Confirmed-for-Chicago/

Alexey is traveling from Russia to Chicago to compete in this contest. I "heard" the registration numbers were low. Having competed in 6 different Fit Expo Grip Contests, and attended another 5 in Los Angeles (and once competed in just one event down there), I can tell you they are a blast. It's fun to have friends and relatives watch you compete, because it seems like such a big deal at the venue, with the thousands of attendees present at the facility. My older sister once attended, and she never had any interest in such things. She was extremely impressed by Alexey, as it was his American debut (San Jose, 2013), and he was so intense in his technique that she couldn't help but to be impressed.

For me, 2200 miles is just to far to go for it. I would recommend it to anyone who can close a Number 2. You won't regret it.

I agree. I've been to the past two Chicago contests, but unfortunately the timing isn't the greatest for me this year.
