There comes a time where you have to compete instead of endless garage lifts and I certainly have the time and resources. I like the idea of sprinkling in some of the great David Horne's lifts as Iam a big fan of his style/competitions!! Have a super Sunday!! OregonTod
Looks fun! Nice to see so many divisions being offered and I like how the Strongman scoring system is being used which is what I will be using in my upcoming contest also.
Jared Goguen
Could you please explain the details of the strongman scoring system you plan on using?

Sure, Example- 10 grip athletes enter - athlete that wins first event gets 10 points, 2nd place in that event gets 9 points, etc. That scoring process is repeated each event. At the end of the contest the athlete who has the most points is overall winner. Additionally, each weight class and division will be recognized winner using above scoring. Chez
Not sure how many people you expect, but if you expect over 10 another idea is reverse strongman scoring. They use it for the multi venue contest like King Kong and World's strongest hands because like get well over 10 people (sometimes near 100 or so). Under that scoring, first place gets 1 point, second gets 2 points etc and the person with the lowest score wins (like golf). This way you can assign whole points to every place with more than 10 competitors. I had almost 20 at one of my comps. Just throwing it out there to be helpful. OregonTod
Yes typically in Strongman scoring you get a point for how you placed. 20 competitors let's say you would give first place in that event 1 point, second place gets 2 points on down the line. If say third and fourth place tied, you would take 7 points (combination of both 3rd & 4th place points) and split it between the two, so they would both get 3.5 points then 5th place would get 5 points etc. lowest points at the end of the contest wins. Thanks Tod, it will be a great event and Iam very confident NOBODY in the United States could win more than 3 out of the 5 events - which is a sign of a challenging event!! If anyone disagrees you better work on your stub lift and rear pickaxe as Iam not going anywhere, LOL I will have to prove my theory( I just found out) against one of the greatest gripsters/strongmen in the world Jon-Clark Eklund has entered- Holy smokes he is strong as in dominating strong Edited April 23, 2017 by Kluv#0

Kluv#0
4 openings remain for the OSH '17 held on July 1st. I have had 7-8 individuals IM me on facebook and asking me to eliminate the stublift and they would enter- Iam sorry but I cannot do that -nothing personal. Next year I will change out the stublift for another griptopz implement. Several gripsters have indicated the meet date conflicted July 4th travel plans- Next year I will hold the contest 2 weeks prior to July 4th- Thanks for your understanding
