SilentDude
I am 15 and so far my best max on the bench is 250 lbs. No assistance or suit of any sort. My Friend is my age and weight (175) and can bench 285, and supposedly he's going for 300 somtime soon. I was just wondeirng if this is anythign special. Plus i was wondering if there is any tips out there you could give me on increasing my bench max, like a routine I could follow. I'd say It's mostly my genetics that got me to 250. I ususally just max out every 2 days,a dntthats whatt increasing my bench. I'll do a warm up with 185, then 235, then I'll bench 250. I may go down to 235 and rep that once or twice. I just need some routine that would be good to follow. Just so I don't do random thing. Tahts one of my flaws, I am not organized at all, and tend to do things randomly... Thanks agian
Guest gripmaster316
Considering that you are doing that much at a young age it is pretty decent. I take a different approach to bench pressing after I reached 200. What I do now is I load the weight much higher then my max and I do partials. I do partials until that weight becomes my max. Its been working. I can almost do a clean press with 300.
