That thing looks scary on video, can't imagine how intimidating it must be in person!

I bet that one's a beast even if you use two hands to lift it!

Hello Jedd,

How much does that thing weigh? - and how much does the heaviest legacy dumbbell weigh?

Laine

The heaviest dumbbell is 150 Pound. The Blobfather is the half of a 140.

Hi Jedd,

I have a Blob50 that I "modified" to take plates, basically it's got 1" bars that are sticking out of either side so I can make it heavier - unfortunately the width is always the same.  I am doing a lot of pinch and Blob work with my weak hand at the minute to see if I can persuade it to do something worthy of mention.

Speak soon,

Laine

Laine, are you looking to lift the heaviest available? You C&J the blobzilla way back in 2008 and if your wide pinch is as strong or better then you have a good chance to be the first again at this.

Hi,

My wide pinch is not too bad at all at the minute - I am using 45kgs plus the pin and handle on the Blockbuster for sets of 5, I tend to do 10 sets.  I train my pinch with the Blockbuster every 4th day, and train the Blob for 10 sets of 5 every 4th day, so I train my pinch every other day - Blob, 2 days later Blockbuster, 2 days later Blob...  I am on using my right (weak) hand for the pinch work - as I am hammering my left hand with other grip exercises.

I feel to be fair this thread should now be shut down due the above post, since there is no video proof.

Again, not doubting anyone.  Just going by the book.
