Hand tackiness is important. Stretching your hand over the handle will help too

Rub them together very fast until they get tacky basically.

The type of RT changes things a bit too. The older models typically work better with clean, chalkless hands whereas the new ones will take to chalk better.

Ha! Tom PM'd me with THE secret. Now I all I need to buy is something called PL400 and 240.1# on the 2" Crusher is mine.
