Last 2 days were rest days... Didn't want to train yesterday, because of too many alcoholic beverages Sunday... Keeping it easy this week, had some nagging injuries from last week...

30 minutes on exercise bike

3x10 KB swings

5x10 BB back squats

3x10 Bulgarian bag spins each direction

3x10 KB side to side transfer

Grip superset 5 sets each hand

10 reps COC 2

1 sledgehammer finger walk

30 minutes on exercise bike again 

Listening to This Week in Grip while working out...

Doubt will do some grip tomorrow... been watching masters division boxing... Maybe, plan that in the future...

Hey BJS.... why don’t you post your weights used? Would love to see what weights you use for each exercise brother! Sometimes you post weights for some exercises...

I only post weights if I'm going on powerlifting or Olympic lifting 1 or 2 rep max. My back squats was only 225 lbs for the 5x10. Its kinda bodybuilding ish workouts when I don't feel up for going heavy...

Tomorrow, I'll be training seated BB overhead press... that will be light, same format... I might try a big bench press workout on Saturday. So, I'll probably post weights

Wacky Wednesday!

30 minutes on exercise bike

Superset 3x10 each

Pulley strap face pulls & band pull aparts

*was thinking seated overheads, but changed that*

Superset 5x10

BB standing strict press & 2 KBs press

3x10 1 arm dumbbell rows

*done with 2" handle from arm assassin strength shop*

30 minutes on exercise bike again 

Very unmotivated today... might be a sign from the future...

Last 2 days felt unmotivated to train... But, decided to train to get out of this funk... decided to try some bodybuilding?

30 minutes on exercise bike

*had to prep dinner before future wife comes home*

My chicken legs!!!

2x50 standing calf raises

Superset 4x10 each

Leg extensions & lying leg curls 

Back squats with heels evaluated & DB stiff leg deadlifts

BB split squats each leg & bodyweight Bulgarian split squats each leg

2x50 standing calf raises

Abs superset 2 sets

Crunches 50 reps & knee raises 25 reps

May take a break from grip, hands been feeling sore. Don't know why... Shall see, don't know what to do tomorrow... maybe big bench day? Rolling Thunder fun? Arm farm?

Just fill you guys in....

Recently, been having some injuries, mostly lower back & nowadays my shoulder. I haven't been lifting heavy, just started more light bodybuilding. Grip training wise, haven't done much, honestly, kinda tired of grip training. I think I'll be taking a break for everything for awhile...

Saw some stone lifting videos & a guy who talking about trying the dinnie stones...

Achy lower back + back brace + lifting belt + taped thumbs + hook grip = 400 lb one arm ring deadlift!!!

Lower back acted up after this lift was gonna attempt left hand, but back said not now buddy...

Pretty much, did kettlebells & upper body giant set yesterday... trying to go light, no more heavy lifting... for now...

I'm gonna still post some stuff...

Lately, back on the bodybuilder routine! Kinda, sorta the deep water method or a high intensity training...

Training 5-6 days of the week... light weight, wearing a back brace just in case, but really don't need it. 1 hour of cardio...

Last week, did 3 movements, tri set, 5 sets. Exercise #1: 10 reps #2: 10 reps #3: 20 reps... except for calves & abs, it's different... I forgot what I did last week...

This week, 4 movements, exercise #1 &#2: 5x15 #3 & #4: 1x50

Monday: legs

4x25 standing calf raises

1x100 again standing calf raises blaster

#1: back squats with heels evaluated

#2: zercher split squats

#3: leg extensions

#4: lying leg curls

Abs superset 4x25

Broomstick twists & band crunches

Tuesday: chest 

#1: incline dumbbell bench press

#2: flat bench DB half moon flyes

#3: flat bench DB bench press

#4: incline dumbbell flyes

Tried this after, not my best...

Thinking about not training grip this week. If I do, it will be on Saturday. Lately, been watching more bodybuilding & masters division boxing... Hopefully, look good in a tuxedo for September!!!

I may be in the same boat as you are with the philly comp. snapped my left middle finger and it ain’t getting any better. Did it on the stupid hub lift. The lateral collateral ligament. Feels like it’s broken.

Be careful with them there broom stick twist Studd! Not good on the lumbar spine... especially with an already compromised back. Been there.... not a good move for it.

I know about twists, they weren't bad, more partial reps with them... back felt fine

I don’t know if I can do the 2 handed events. I may go just to do the one handed... but I was looking forward to the axle and the country crush... also... nowhere in my post did I say I wasn’t going... only that I was in the same boat as you meaning “injured”. A lateral collateral ligament injury is not a boo boo. It’s actually  a pretty messed up injury to have if you’re into grip. Thanks for your concern though! 👍🏻

Same boat as injured? Ok thought weren't going. I know another guy signed up only doing rolling thunder. I think it might be a good thing, I ain't competing!

Who signed up to only do RT? I signed up for everything. But if my finger doesn’t get better by then I will be forced to only do the one handed events.

Shawn Parisi, owner of Savage City Strength by me. He told me he signed up, then later said only rolling thunder. His 1st grip contest. Cause, he's bugging me to go, but told him my situation. He thought I was joking at 1st...

Today was a weird day. Felt out of it all day... BIG BACK DAY!!!

1 hour of cardio!

Reminder it's 4 movements #1 & #2: 5x15 #3 & #4: 1x50

#1: yates rows

#2: meadows rows

#3: straight arm pull downs using pulley handles with resistance band

#4: neutral grip rows with resistance band & using pulley handles

Thought about calves & abs, but maybe would have been too much for feeling not the best...

Just a dumb video I made...

Thursday shoulders

#1: ez curl bar upright rows

#2: DB Arnold press

#3: DB side laterials

#4: DB bent over laterials seated

Did calves 4x25 toes raised 1x100 on ground before shoulder 2x50 after

Abs 4x25 knee ups 2x50 band crunches

Friday worked late, had pasta

Saturday arm farm

Triceps

#1: JM press

#2: ez curl bar pull over press

#3: ez curl bar skull crushers

#4: DB 2 hand extensions

Did this in between, my personal opinion

Biceps

#1: BB drag curls

#2: BB curls

#3: DB spider curls

#4: DB concentration curls

Abs 4x25 each

- incline sit ups with resistance band

- knee ups

- decline bench sit ups

Spur of the moment idea

I think, I'm gonna train grip once a week or every other week... So, i may not post much on this log... let me know if you do want to see my training these days
