riccardomagni
I had a great time competing at the King Kong California location. Evan Raftopoulos and Mike Corlett joined me. Every one made PR'S. Andrew and Eric, thanks again for this opportunity to compete globally, even though I only had to drive 4 hours. This was my first King Kong event and I trained very hard for it. Traditionally, this has been the worst time of the year for me to compete. All three of my kids do club soccer and we have several 500 mile weekends of driving to games. Also, I had a second job to help pay for some of this stuff, so that also impacted my sleep and training. Euro - the best I made was 88# in training. I made 90.2# and was close with 91.2#. 2.5" Crusher - I made 167# in training. I made a technical mistake with 168.5# so I had to repeat it on my 4th. Probably could have done 173#. Hub - my PR was 46# in training. I did that on #3 and then made 50.2# on #4. Undershot my potential on this one...lesson learned. VBar - PR was 226# going in. I made that on my third and then 242.9# on the 4th. Again, I undershot my best. I learned that I can get fired up on that event and significantly outpull my training lifts. Here's the video. Thanks for reading and watching. Riccardo
