Thanks guys, as far as well rounded I've been avoiding thickbar/rolling handles like the plague so that's a big hole for me at the moment. Maybe its not as bad as I think but its definitely not great. And my crush is super spotty, comes and goes.

Hub gains stalled, I hope they stick. I'm ok with it, can focus on some other things.

Off day today, especially my left. Out of hub, blockbuster, flask, blobs were about the only thing that felt good. Got some reps in at least. And a couple solid lifts of that 45lb blob right, lots of hops left. Bunch of drags on the rubber mat, dragging towards the thumb on something grippy is brutal. No tears but the skin on my thumb looks polished now, wore off a bunch of the ridges.

Had a few beers and realized I haven't bent anything in awhile. Yellow nail in half sheet paper towel, eventually want to get this barehand but there's no way it will happen all DO. Need to probably start reverse, then DU, then crush overhand, and I'd probably have to knock off the sharp edges. Tore a little skin on my left palm here but not too bad.

Pretty good day in the garage, everything is creeping up. 63 gold bar, 79 flask (not quite with the right) and 72R/70L blockbuster.

I have stumbled across an easy routine that works for me on hub and apparently pinch too. Goal is at least 0.5lb increase each week, don't take no for an answer. Rest more, rechalk the implement if you need, but I've been getting it within 3 attempts almost every time, of course the occasional bad day. If you get it first time, keep adding 0.5lb until you fail 2 attempts.

Once a week, start with around 75% max, 90ish%, then the 0.5lb PR. Today (as you will see) I did blockbuster, flask, then gold bar. After you're done with that, drop back to around 75% and do some holds with each, no particular plan or structure, don't tear your skin.

High volume active recovery, bloodflow exercises during the week, total rest 1-2 days before workout. For me this is extensor bands, dex balls (upside down mostly), fast open/closes of the hands followed by stretching, high rep 10lb dumbell wrist curls, thumb work with imtugs, etc.

Anyway, thought I'd lay that out. Vids from today:

Got a red nail to move 10* in imps yesterday after a long break from bending, melted a 9/32 CRS pretty quick so figured it was worth a shot. And tore these plastic coated casino cards today. Shredded my web pretty good but I've got pretty thick skin there so no biggie.

80.1 flask, right was stronger than left today. And 65 gold bar, happy with that. No progress blockbuster, maybe 3 implements is a little much to ask for increases every week, but I'll definitely take 2 out of 3.

Messed up my eat/sleep/rest schedule this week because life, but still creeping ahead on flask (80.5) , gold bar (66), and blockbuster (72.9). Pinch pinch pinch! Left was 1-2 lbs behind on everything.

Videos on my instagram, even I'm getting a little bored seeing the same stuff every week so not pasting links here.

Good progress on flask, gold bar up a bit so can't complain, stuck on blockbuster, and working with a new implement, rotating 2x5 pinch block (awesome for holds and working on wrist engagement.)

Ok, rough week so this was a beer workout and not a caffeine workout like I prefer, that pulls a couple pounds lbs for sure. It seems weird to spell it out, but ideally my entire week revolves around preparing for this 1 hour of MY time on a Saturday or Sunday when I do my grip thing. Sleep, diet, stress, rest, life, etc. All went to shit this week because life, but I still can't complain. I usually don't bend on a grip day, but it was definitely needed this time around amd I'm happy with it. Slowly grinding on all my pinch stuff. Now for the moment you'e been waiting for: 83 lbs flask both hands look good on height. 74.5 lbs blockbuster right only. 5/16×6 g2 bolt, felt sorry for it. And some sledge fingerwalks, been neglecting those but can't recommend them enough.

Inspiration brought to you by Horse the band, Lamb of god, and Neurosis.

Rough week again, no real improvements, gonna cut back on pinch for awhile and finally start on thickbar. Got 76.5 righty on blockbuster though, and a decent goldbar hold with 60 lbs.

As threatened, thickbar has begun. Baseline lifts 3" 95lbs, 2.5" 120lbs, 2" 144lbs. Also did some lighter stuff, bullring extensor lifts (22lbs) and stub(27.5 lbs, got a ways to go there.) Ended with lifts and holds of this 5" steel round 42.3lb blockweight. Bent arm holds so it's kinda like a wrist wrench in that it peels out of your hand, good balance between wrist, fingertips, with a little bicep.

I will be shooting for the same thickbar gains as with hub and pinch, but it may not work with thickbar. Looking for 1-3lbs increase each week on at least one implement. Stub and extensor maybe 0.25-0.5lbs would be nice.

Videos on my instagram, only notable one is this 5" round. Have to roll it into my hand and tilt to lift, stricter lifts would be good, or I can add platemates, we'll see. Using this in the past has always made my forearms sore to the bone, so should go well with thickbar stuff.

Forearms still a little sore from thickbar on Saturday, but wrists felt solid, tore some cards. The easy ones are like butter, the mavericks are challenging but I'm getting pretty fast with them.

Not sure why but I find thickbar really boring... vids on instagram but 3" 100 lbs right hopped left, 2.5" 125 right hopped left, 2" 147 both hands.

29 lbs stub both, 24lbs 5" bullring extensor lift, not high enough right hand. Did not expect those to go up thst much.

Decided to try my shallow wide 35 hub and got it lefty, floated right. Here's a video of that one and some pics. That slope makes it a real pain the the ass to get your thumb on.

Zero thickbar progress left hand, right is doing ok. 3" 105 lbs, 2.5" 127.6 lbs, 2" 150 lbs. Also got 26lbs 5" bull ring extensor lift.

Probably switching back to pinch next week, might keep some thickbar and do it last.

Back to pinch, everything seems to be about where I left it, except blockbuster, hopefully it's a chalking issue.

Got 68 lbs gold bar right, and 45lb blob felt good at the end of the workout, left hand still isn't quite there.

One thing that has helped my left hand pinch catch up with my right has been consciously trying to supinate my wrist while lifting.  You can use a band to add resistance to the movement too, but it definitely helps to drive the thumb into the surface.   I have a goldbar on the way so you'll have to check meowt.

@Adam Juncker thanks, I'll try it. I mostly focus on driving my fingers in when pinching. Some days my left is better, on flask or gold bar (usually not) but never on blockbuster or blobs.

This gold bar is one Luke made, bare steel so may be a little easier than painted, depends on chalking. It's also thicker material than the David Horne original, I don' know if that one flexes at all but this definitely doesn't. This might be a tad wider, 1/8" maybe.

Interested to see how you do, I definitely stalk your log because we seem pretty close on a few things.

Back to pinch but lost a bit, maybe due to heat/humidity and not taking care of the skin on my thumb. At around 80lbs flask and 72 lbs blockbuster last weekend. Some random stuff:

Apple pinch, not sure I've seen anyone use just fingertips and thumb before, usually it's fingers and palm. Hub strength helps here.

53lbs inch pinch last saturday, tore my left thumb but it's healed already.

Barehand wd2 wrist developer tonight. Hate to be that guy, but "is this good?" Orange spring notches 3/4 the easy way, 4/3 didn't go by 1/2" or so. Don't think I've ever seen anyone do this barehand, so if you read this and have one, try it out and let me know. Athletic tape on the handles so I don't slip, that's very unpleasant for wrists and shoulders.

Pinching still, nothing too exciting except I thought this was cool:

Hopped 100lb double sided york plate, and finally a solid lefty lift with my 45lb blob.

Been out of town a couple of times and missed a few workouts, but I was well rested. Decided to check in on hubs. 40.5 on 5" bullring, 67.1 righty on imhub (only managed 64 left.) Previous best was 66.5 both hands, so felt pretty good about that for not touching it in a while.

Also got 45lb blob + weight, 46.8lb total. Some tiny hops with a blob50 and some negatives, I'm closing in on it. The shape and texture are a little better than the 45 fatman.

Good day in the garage. 68 imhub right, 4 lbs stronger than left and I'm pretty sure it's from card tearing. 41lbs 5" bullring. Pre-usa half 90 + weight, 48.1 lbs total, not a full lift left. Air under blob50 right, getting there.

Vids on instagram, page loading is getting slow so might not post links anymore until this makes it to a new page.

41.5 lbs 5" bullring, 68.5 lbs ironmind hub right only. Blobs felt weak, so tried deep dish plate rim keypinch, got 90lbs. Hard to balance, will take some getting used to.

Done with hubs for a while, but might still work on shallow plate hubbing a bit. Getting back to pinching next week!

Ironmind 67 left / 69 right, I don't think either were quite high enough but I'm calling it good as an ending point

5" bullring 43 lbs, 44 was glued to the floor, somewhere in between might have gone.

35 plate 5" shallow hub with big radius, got that both hands.

45lb york 4" shallow hub with the thumb side propped up on two 2x4s both hands. I can't get it flat, but once in the air it's no problem. So I'll slowly reduce the height it's propped up, should get me there.

If you are interested in shallow plate hubbing and don't have bullrings, you need to get them ASAP. My hands are 7 5/8 and I like the 5", am good for another couple lbs on the 4" but don't use it much.

Videos on instagram.

Tore some cards, only one I'm proud of is these mavericks in the plastic. Those 1/4 size decks are a PITA but I think eventually I can get though a full one, made it through 40 today.
