Evan Raftopoulos
this is an attempt to do it thumbless, definitely more wrist than grip
Evan Raftopoulos
A friend of mine was telling me today of another pro climber/ ninja warrior athlete that did at least two reps when Geoff Britten took the rolling thunder at a ninja gym. Forgot his name. So it seems that Peter Mortensen was right Quote “There seems to be a strong correlation between strength on revolving handles or dumbbells (especially thick handles) and climbing hand strength . . .,” from here http://www.ironmind.com/news/The-Rolling-Thunder-Challenge/
Evan Raftopoulos
I think the same goes for pinch grip strength. The only thing that pro climbers might not be good at is crushing grip as that requires more specialized training with closing grippers.
