Fist of Fury
1 hour ago, Shatterer said: Nice work on that left turn #3! Do you find benefit in those, are they worth the money you think? I have read mixed things. You have some impressive overall grip strength, I look forward to seeing more. Thanks! Yes I do se benefits with left-turn grippers but not for the left really, more for the right, this is my new goal gripper for the right hand. I think closing regular (right-turn) grippers with your left actually makes your left hand stronger. I think that many people are much stronger in their left hand than they actually believe. You don't really know for sure unless you try either a dynamo or a left-turn gripper. The way I look at it, the left-turn gripper is just another gripper that fills a gap. For me it's mid-high 150's now with the right hand. So I really don't need to buy a right-turn gripper to fill that gap anymore.
Fist of Fury
24/8/17 (BW: 102.5 kg) Side Lateral Raise 3 kg 2x40 Push-Ups 2x11 Steel Bending 3 mm nail in 3" suede wraps, did two of these with my thumbs, I don't know what this style of bending is called. Really good pain tolerance trainer. Underhand 6 mm x 6" nail - 88k in 7" suede wraps - one full bend, aesthetically my best bend with a nail so far. Reverse EN8 CRS 6 mm x 7" - 122.55k @ 6" in suede wraps - one full bend, much easier than last time but not as nice, (left hand). WD2 B3-F4 x 5 B4-F4 x 5 Speed B2-F2 x 3x8 DO Deadlift 135 kg 3x5 Rolling Handles Silarukov 50 mm 52.50 kg x 3 62.50 kg x 1 73.05 kg x 1 75.60 kg x 1 dropped at lockout with left and glued to the floor with right. Rolling Thunder 75.60 kg x 95% with left and glued to the floor with right. It wasn't entirely a full lift with left but I call it a PR anyway. 55.60 kg x 10 Note: Need to work on my upper back here, lifting from this height is actually harder than the adjustable thick bar. I might have to find a better technique to make it easier on my upper back. Maybe a wider stance. I will try that next week. After that I will rest from thick bar and focus only on bending. Pull-Ups Wide Grip 1x3, 1x2 - This made my wrist hurt. Neutral Grip 2x4 with 20 second dead hang immediately after last rep. OrbiGrip 2.5 kg x 25 revolutions. It wasn't hard, just wanted to see where I'm at, 50 reps will probably give me the pump, so I will try that next time.

Pull-Ups Neutral Grip 2x4 Push-Ups 2x15 Steel Bending Reverse EN8 CRS 6 mm x 7" - 122.55k @ 6" in suede wraps - one full bend. Stainless Steel round bar 6 mm x 180 mm in suede wraps - to 10 degrees, very stubborn steel, I was definitely expecting to bend this one today but it was harder than I thought. I have some 138k rated bars that I will try in the coming weeks, will be interesting to see how they compare to these SS bars I have. WD2 B4-F4 x 3 B5-F4 x 3 Speed B2-F2 x 3x8 DO Deadlift 105 kg 3x10 Then I was going to do some rows but I didn't have any energy for it. EN8 CRS 6 mm x 7" - 122.55k @ 6" in 7" suede wraps - One full bend, significantly harder just by cutting the wraps 3 inches. WD2 B4-F4 x 3 B5-F4 x 3 Speed B2-F2 - 3x8 Rolling Thunder Up to 76.90 kg with left hand (PR) and up to 73.15 kg with right hand. Got some air on 75 kg with right and attempted 80 kg with left and got a tiny bit of air, I knew I wasn't going to lift it, I just wanted to feel the weight. I think I could have lifted 78 kg or so today, lift on 76.90 kg was easy. Dumbbell Row 40 kg 3x10 DO Deadlift 135 kg 3x5 (added straps on the last two sets because left hand was starting to give up). Inch Trainer Deadlift 55 kg - 3 singles, left was with slight rotation and right was 100% firm. Rolling Thunder 58.15 kg x 10 reps each hand. I did 52.5 kg and 56 kg the last two weeks, I forgot to log that.
Fist of Fury
4/9/17 (BW: 102.5 kg) Steel Bending EN8 CRS 6 mm - 122.55k @ 6" in suede wraps - One full bend, it might have been slightly under 40 degrees, I have to buy a measuring tool to know for sure. Good to know I'm making progress. When I bought the starter pack from David Horne I wasn't able to bend these to more than 15 degrees. He actually sent me the wrong bars, I was supposed to get 77k rated bars but got these instead. I was quite depressed "knowing" that I wasn't strong enough to bend a 77k bar I have a few 137k rated bars as well, going to attempt those next. Starting with 7". WD2 RH: B4-F4 x 5, B5-F4 x 5. LH: B4-F4 x 5, B5-F4 x 3, x 2. Speed B2-F2 x 3x8 Will do deadlifts tonight... Side Lateral Raise 5 kg 7x15 Push-Ups 2x15 Hammer Curl 16.5 kg 2x10 Pull-Ups (Neutral Grip) Stuck at 4 reps. Only 14 reps more to tie my personal record, which I did at a body weight of 63 kg So that will be my goal... For the rest of my life DO Deadlift 110 kg 3x10
Fist of Fury
7/8/17 (BW: 102.2 kg) Steel Bending Reverse S275 8 mm x 7" - 137.54k @ 6" in suede wraps - One full bend, felt about the same as the 122k bar @ 6" length. Wasn't able to crush this one down but reverse part was fairly easy. 88k 6" Nail in 3" suede wraps. WD2 B4-F4 x 5 B5-F4 x 5 Speed B2-F2 x 3x8 Will try how much I can lift with the LGC handle tonight when I do deadlifts. After that I will probably start some type of program for the rolling handles, maybe some kind of 5/3/1 program or the PH3 by Layne Norton. Push-Ups 4x10 Brutalizer LH: 27.5 kg x 8, 42.5 kg x 2, 52.5 kg x 1, x 1, 62.80 kg x 1, 60.25 kg x 2, 57.75 x 4. RH: 27.5 kg x 8, 42.5 kg x 2, 52.5 kg x 1, x 1, 62.80 kg x 0, 60.25 kg x 0, 57.5 kg x 1 Weak performance with right hand, it might be because I tried to bend the 137k bar with right hand by mistake this morning, that hand isn't used to that, bar wasn't moving. It took me 5-7 seconds before I realized my mistake. Dumbbell Row Working Sets with 40 & 52 kg 10, 7, 7, 10. Do Deadlift 135 kg 3x5 Orbigrip 3 kg 1x20 both ways, both hands. 1.5 kg 1x20 both ways, both hands. I will program my thick bar with these numbers: RT & Silarukov 50 mm: 76 (L), 73 (R). LGC: 62 (L), 58 (R). HT: 53 (L), 49 (R). 75 mm dumbbell: 48 (L), 45 (R), unsure about this one but it's a lot harder than FGX. 2H Euro Pinch will be 60 kg, I'm good for 67.5 I think but I'm setting this one low to avoid injuries and skin problems. Fist of Fury
9/9/17 Grippers LH: Two wide set closes with LT#3, second felt very strong. Then one attempt on the GHP 150#, missed with a few mm's, probably wasted all my energy on the second LT#3 close. RH: Two Silver Bullet attempts with the 153 lb #3. First 19 seconds, second 17 seconds. Did a few sets of light squats to warm up. Felt good considering my arms were sore from last workout. Silver Bullet COC#3.5: 13 seconds, 6 seconds. Much better than I expected. Around 10 seconds more than I thought I would do! Then 15 slow TNS closes with the Trainer. Deadlifts later... Push-Ups 5, 5, 6, 5, 5, 5, 5, 5, 5, 5 (51) Zottman Curl 10 kg 2x10 Hammer Curl 16.5 kg 2x10 DO Deadlift 115 kg 3x10 10 reps is cardio for me, but it has to be done, otherwise I will never progress. Will start to do some singles on the second day now from now on. Steel Bending Tried some braced snapping with an 8 mm bar, from the starter package, went at it like a maniac for little more than a minute but then I died, didn't have anymore energy after deadlifts. Will have to continue some other time. It was very tough, probably because I never tried it before, completely new movements for me.

Fist of Fury
18/9/17 (BW: 101.65 kg) Push-Ups 8x7 Steel Bending Reverse S275 8 mm x 6" - 137.54k in suede wraps - Got it to 21.2 degrees. Kind of a bad attempt, only the first hit was okay. Right hand is not in the best shape, made an attempt on a 174# rated Elite on Saturday, got it to around 10 mm and the gripper wasn't nice to me during the eccentric. Have some inflammation in my thumb now. WD2 B5-F4 x 5 B4-F5 x 5 Speed B2-F2 x 3x8 DO Deadlift 120 kg 3x10 This almost killed me, not much of a grip workout at all. Fist of Fury
21/9/17 (BW:102.55 kg) Tried to see where my bench press was today, first time in two years. I'm able to press my bodyweight, which was a big relief, I actually thought it would be much worse. I haven't trained BP since I did RRBT (before I started this log), by that time my bodyweight was around 92 kg and I was just as strong in the BP then as I am now. So, needless to say, I've lost a lot in this movement, but that's how it is when you're not too fond of a certain exercise. I will start doing more BP from now on though, since I need better upper body strength if I want to close heavier grippers. I will soon start 5/3/1 with 5's progression and first set last for my powerlifting. It will be squat twice a week and DL, BP and shoulder press once a week. I also tried the Rolling Thunder today and I got 78 kg easy with left. Loaded up another 2.5 kg and I actually thought I would get it but I only got the plates a few centimeters of the floor. Right hand is unfortunately not responding as good to thick bar, it has never done. It might be because that hand is meatier so I don't reach around the handle as good as I do with the left hand. Left thumb is also a bit stronger but my right wrist and upper arm and body is clearly stronger than my left. It has to because of the anatomy of the hand. I will do Layne Norton's Power Hypertrophy 3 program for thick bar and pinch. It will be quite a lot to log so I will probably not write everything here but I will try to write down the grip workouts at least.
Fist of Fury
22/9/17 I had to test the Wrist Developer today, I realized that I had never even tried the chrome spring. I did second level with that spring with left and a near miss with right. I guess that's Level #7? Hard spring, gets difficult fast. I actually thought the first level would be harder than the last level with the orange spring but it wasn't. The hardest level with the orange spring was a little bit harder than first with the chrome.

Fist of Fury
Taking a break from lifting and grip training for a few months now. Body is not responding good, feels like a very bad injury is right around the corner. Have problems with almost all parts of my body, especially in my left bicep. But also in my legs, upper back and abdominals. I will focus on prehab training with very light weights for a while now. Might be able to train some grippers but probably not heavy. I think I'm going to lose a few pounds. I feel that it's much harder to deadlift with my current shape. I was better at deadlifting when I was around 90 kg's.
