when i was start armwrestling i was do this exercise gallery_10117_623_20750.jpg

but later when i was more clever i was do this exercise med_gallery_10117_623_133788.jpg

WHY ???

BECAUSE this second exercise is more like position on the table !!!!.... and this exercise gave me more.... !!!! TRUST ME GUYS !!!!!

less weight but more power on the table !!!! because we want to be armwrestling champion, not weight lifting champion.... ;)

POSITION IS KEY !!!! not weight....

What are you using? A towel only ? And donyou use hook in it? Or top roll grip can be used too?

On picture I just show example exercise for hook....but you can use this movement with pronation for top roll

I was try say (here I will use QUOTE DAVID HORNE because his English is better than my): ".Yes all my lock exercises are with the force at 90 degrees to the forearm, otherwise the resistance is just going down through the bone"

I use only towel

Ps. Here is more pictures

position is key

look

http://armpower.net/image_news.php?p=278/auto/20110927184433_getImage.jpg&size=ind&w=800x600

and

http://www.kulturystyka.org.pl/artykuly-miniatury/cwiczenia-na-biceps-z-hantlami-5.jpg

position on the top picture will give you more for armwrestling than this on picture bellow.....

Look picture on the top, elbow position is in the centre of body, many people forget about it, working muscle and tendons

picture bellow again : resistance is going down through the bone.... exercise will give us nothing (in armwrestling of course)

PS. please remember we talking about free weights.... in cable machine or rubber band that working different because they give us tension all the time

Questions:

Is your elbow on the chair or in the air?

What kind of sets, timing, weights would you suggest for a work out? (example: 50 lbs for 1 minute hold).

Thanks

My elbow is near belly button ....

Do movement from 110 deegre to the chest,

when weight will be about 70% your max ,then make static hold --in 80 degree between forearm and arm

Try do just few seconds....
