avasatu
Thanks! It was sumo with an IM loading pin, however, which means the ROM was like 4 inches or so. I had to just order a new loading pin because I'm not sure what the official comp crusher rules are for height of lift.

Some might call it lazy, sure, and that's fine. It's just brute crushing power. I hate wasting, time, energy, and thought on the set. I will train with set grippers in the future, of course, particularly if I become more and more invested in competing, but for now, I just want to improve pure crush numbers. What type of hose clamp (if one at all) do you use to choke your gripper(s)? Edited August 28, 2016 by Yan_Wei
avasatu
I use no. 24 51-27 mm (2-1 1/16th). Should be at any store. I also use a cheap vice to do it, and I wrap one handle on tape.
avasatu
Going to be keeping both an educational and training log blog at pinchcrushlift.com Check it out! Worked up to 65s x 5 paused standing DB overhead press today, and my flask training was unremarkable because of the irritation it is causing to my thumb webs, though I certainly got stronger. Ordered some custom width pinch blocks from Gil. 2 and a quarter inches is just observably too wide for me for pinch. Did 20 pullups straight, each with a dead hang between, (had 25 in me), and then a quick set of 8 to finish off my training for today.
