Matt, I think he should visit you and train grip together for a day, then try closing grippers. I wonder if the huge hand size becomes a limitation at some point with grippers. btw that video is not available anymore, it says that account has been terminated. Both left-handed (though Cyplenkov competes right-handed too, and has beaten John Brzenk right handed), both with huge hands (Dabe's hands look bigger) and both strong.
