Yes they are 20 mm. The Spectrum of CPW are 21 mm. It's a great tool. I will send you a pm.

Here you can compare 4 different adjustable grippers. From left to right: RB - Vulcan - Vatiz - Iron Grip

I think the chrome version is a little bit more expensive. Otherwise there is no difference.

We'll be selling this at CPW. Working on getting them up now.

Matt, I would advice you to get them with one handle milled of. Makes it much more useful and you could still use the thumb screws.

I love the look of that Vatiz! how much are they going for?

Thanks :)

edit: what are they like to use? how does the 'Feel' compare to a baraban?

thanks again.

I really like my RB adjustable. I also have the Vulcan now but I can't really say one is better than the other (like some argued in the past), their feel is totally different. Both great training tools. The RB feels closer to torsion spring grippers. The Vulcan is harder to set. I trained with both yesteday at the end of my gripper workout did supersets between the two. I also used the RB springs on the Vulcan.

I had to pay 90 $ + shipping. The nurling of the Vatiz is very slightly and the lowest tension is harder than that of the RB. The handles of the Vatiz are closing flat together. On the RB they close more like a torsion spring gripper. But there is not much difference of feeling. Hope that helps.

For those who have both, are the handles of a Vulcan of a thinner diameter then the RB Adjustable? In the comparison pic above they looked to be, but maybe that's an illusion.

Love that RB. It's going to be central to some#3 cert training. I'm going for it.

I posted this in the other RB thread:

to appreciate even more the small gaps on this gripper I combined the data. This also helps to use as a reference when you are training as it's hard to remember all this. I don't know RGC values when combining the two springs which gives even more possibilities

1-1 = 25 lbs (weak spring)
1-2 = 29 lbs (weak spring)
2-2 = 32 lbs (weak spring)
2-3 = 36 lbs (weak spring)
3-3 = 39 lbs (weak spring)
3-4 = 44 lbs (weak spring)
4-4 = 48 lbs (weak spring)
4-5 = 51 lbs (weak spring)
5-5 = 57 lbs (weak spring)
5-6 = 60 lbs (weak spring)
1-1 = 62 lbs (hard spring)
6-6 = 67 lbs (weak spring)
1-2 = 69 lbs (hard spring)
6-7 = 72 lbs (weak spring)
2-2 = 77 lbs (hard spring)
7-7 = 78 lbs (weak spring)
7-8 = 83 lbs (weak spring)
2-3 = 87 lbs (hard spring)
8-8 = 89 lbs (weak spring)
8-9 = 93 lbs (weak spring)
3-3 = 95 lbs (hard spring)
9-9 = 99 lbs (weak spring)
9-10= 104 lbs (weak spring)
3-4 = 105 lbs (hard spring)
10-10 = 112 lbs (weak spring)
4-4 = 115 lbs (hard spring)
4-5 = 126 lbs (hard spring)
5-5 = 137 lbs (hard spring)
5-6 = 147 lbs (hard spring)
6-6 = 160 lbs (hard spring)
6-7 = 169 lbs (hard spring)
7-7 = 181 lbs (hard spring)
7-8 = 194 lbs (hard spring)
8-8 = 204 lbs (hard spring)
8-9 = 214 lbs (hard spring)

btw with CCS training I noticed that there is less strain in the hand as you work with relatively lighter grippers vs MMS closes. Yet the strength gains should be there. I think Alan Barch is a good example of that.

from here:

http://www.ironmind.com/news/Alan-Barch-Jr.-Certifies-on-the-Captains-of-Crush-No.-3.5-Gripper/

“I rarely do partials and no matter what gripper I use I focus on speed! 6 sets of 2 with a reset at max speed is something I routinely use. I want as many great reps in a workout as possible so I rarely do rep outs.
