45 Lb Plate Curl

Recommended Posts

Finally was able to perform a 45 Deep Dish York Plate curl for 3 reps. Also did the Dan Lurie 2-25 plate curl strict against a wall. Personally the Dan Lurie plates are harder than the prior plates that I did as they have much larger diameter. Either way here are the 2 videos.

Very impressive. Based on other steelbenders who have really strong plate curls, such as Adam Glass and Wiggy, you might have a really really strong reverse.

Not sure if strength or pain tolerance of not doing it in a lobgvtime would be the issue

What Luke isn't telling us is he had his wrist bones surgically fused. Think about it. Have you ever seen his wrists bend?

But regardless, far-out fantastic feat!

Jikes! Three reps to boot! I agree with Sharkey. Plate curls in and of themselves might not be the best indicator of reverse strength since the movements are so different, but your plate curls along with your hammer deadlifting make a strong indication that you have some wrists that are really strong in all angles! You'd be a natural at reverse bending!
