Hey Eric, never see you post your grip training. Do take a fairly minimalist approach there too and just focus on 1-2 movements?

I just haven’t been prioritizing grip much over the last several years. Most Sundays I do meet up with the guys and typically hit a few heavy sets of Saxon and a rolling handle. But I’m about to start training more seriously for Tucson, so maybe I’ll log that.

Thinking either the extra volume or throwing in military presses for the first time in a while last week may not allow me to bench twice weekly. Or I just need to adapt. Muscles still slightly sore today.

Wasn’t good for the 20 rep PR I wanted. That’s okay, because mainly I wanted to get in a hard workout before my surgery Monday. Luckily I only have to refrain from lifting for a week. And I can console myself with the fact my body weight is down 10 pounds.

Thank you, sir. Kind of a rough day for getting my head into the game, too. My dog, Monte, ate some raisins before I got home from work. Kind of a scary ordeal.

I hope everything is well for Falcor. I have to watch the grandgoobers eat like a hawk. My chihuahua is a exceptional scavenger and possesses a warp speed drive.

As of my bedtime last night he seemed to be doing a lot better. Kidney failure is the real fear, so hopefully he continues to pee ok today. And fortunately he puked it all up. Three bags of trail mix. 😆 He left the plastic alone, thank god. Sandy is in big trouble for leaving the pantry door open. But I could use this as leverage to return  his rightful name!

Strangely enough, even though I still felt like crap from this cold, my bench took a big jump up today.  The time off must have been needed.
