You should post your Concept 2 workouts also - if nothing else they can make be feel bad :).

Chris, between now and my contest in April I'm strictly rowing nice and easy. But then I'll have six months before my next contest, so I can train for a faster 500 meter. Since gaining all this weight I won't be making anyone look bad for a while!

I'm kind of stuck right now on my 500 meter row - same basic time every test day lately. Need to do something different but not sure what.

Nice volume!

Thanks, Jason. I felt like I could have done more, as I'm not pushing any sets to failure, but I'm a little leery about overdoing it. My new motto is "better under than overtrained". I used to detest high reps (anything over 5), but I'm growing to like them.

I really like Lee Haney's (I think) quote of "stimulate, don't annihilate"

4-25-2015

USAPL Texas State Championship

Squat

429, 451, 462

Bench

275, 292, passed my third attempt

Deadlift

540, 573, missed 600 several inches off the floor

I weighed in at 203 and broke all the Raw state records in the 45-49 year old class. Now it's time to bulk up to the 231 pound class for Raw Nats in October.
