I'd guess by grabbing it by the edges (like a steering wheel).

either way awesome stuff going on here Eric! I bet your grip is still on point, you try any feats lately or general hand training?

Jason is right. I grab the 100 like a steering wheel.

Jon, I still do a little fun grip at least weekly. I tried a 35 pound plate curl the other day and was surprised to get 5 reps lefty and 3 righty, having not trained it in three years. I hit a few grippers every week, too.

Damn good!

Thanks! I'm shooting for a 479x3 squat PR in two weeks. I'm really happy with the progress and freshness I feel doing these 3 -workout mini cycles.

Will you go to Raw-Nats the coming years?

I'm still convinced that you'll be competitive as a M2 lifter.

I'm definitely going! This will be my first year in the M2 category.

And thank you!

Looks like he already holds two USAPL state records in M1 as a raw lifter.

Haha, yes!

Maybe I can add to it in Orlando. Are you competing, yourself?😊

I use to compete as M1 and loved it.   Now I am one of those who is frustrated with the bastardization of the sport.  This is not to say that I don't respect your numbers.  You are strong as 'ell.  Good luck in Orlando.  I am glad you aren't letting the dilution of sport beat you down.  It is such a shame because it is a great and fun sport.

Thank you for the kind  words of encouragement. I can certainly relate to how you feel. I was very disillusioned with the state of things for many years. Other than the occasional deadlift contest, I gave it up for about 17 years. But with the advent of raw lifting and serious drug testing in the USAPL I've found a home again. Raw Nationals had over 1100 lifters last year!  So plenty of stiff competition, too.

Bench

259x10 post-injury PR!

Im really thrilled to be making steady gains on bench finally. And to be getting very close to my all time strength level I had over twenty years ago, with no small amount of my left pec missing is very encouraging. Key has been increasing to two workouts a week, varying low reps with very high reps, and dropping all assistance work, save heavy hammer curls.

Plate Curls

35x7 right, x9 left
