You may have already read this at some point, but if your chasing the red, it is best to bend at 7" and no other length until after your dominating it.

I like using the longer lengths so can use bigger steel than I'm currently bending. Also by prekinking 30 or 40 degrees I can

also work on the sweep and the crush of the bend

Really you shouldn't be worried about time or doing prekinked bars and certainly not 9" stock. This program will spin your wheels for months and years and the Red will still go unbent. EJ has been giving an absolutely top to bottom bending clinic to the Jareds. Do yourself a solid and read through his advice. Edited by Mike Sharkey

I'm not one to derail threads or shit on people's progress, but you need to re-evuate your bending regiment and figure out how bad you want the red. Mike is correct with everything he has said. The way your are bending may get you to the red. However the way Mike, Tommy and myself suggest the way to bend, will guarantee you bend the red. It's your call bro. Just ask we will help.

Btw when Tommy mentioned doubles he meant two layers of wraps not two pieces of steel, just saying! Keep on bending but listen to the pro's ;)

^^^This!

E.J and Tommy are directly responsible for me certing on the Red Nail after about 8 months of dedicated bending. The things they have to say are invaluable, and I would strongly recommend structuring your training based on what they have to say.
