Looked easy. Btw do you know why the competitors were standing on small platforms? Never seen that before.

It is allowed because lifting to the required height would mean for many of us shorter guys that shoulder would have to be elevated excessively to compensate, ruining otherwise solid technique. Personally I have freakishly long arms in comparison to short legs so I like to use platforms.

Congrats Teemu. Very well done. Can you tell me what width you were using for the 1HP?

No worries, I was just curious.

Thank you! I am not 100 % certain if it is optimal width for me but I used 56 mm.

Starting a new grip routine, will try to do a better job keeping my online logs updated. No "secret" exercises, or any other bs like that. Will write it down as it is.

1. Rolling Thunder (without any wrist flexion)

Right: 20,20x55 kg
Left: 20,14x55 kg

High volume work to build some base.

2. Axle wrist curl

10x40 kg
7x50 kg
4x50 kg

Good gawd, 44.1kg is SO...HEAVY...

Hahahaa! :D Got some air with 45,1 kg as well.

But I know my pinching is far from it's best, judging by the fact my blobette is still glued to the floor with 50 lbs and it was a feat I accomplished years ago. Very excited now to find out what I can do as it feels I am gaining my old strength back fairly quickly.

Blobette lifts

12 singles, 3 sec holds, blobette loaded to 35 lbs.  Weak!

1. Rolling Thunder (without any wrist flexion)
Right: 20,20 x 60 kg
Left: 20,18 x 60 kg

2. Axle Wrist Curl
6 x 60 kg
5 x 60 kg
4 x 60 kg

Wrists are getting stronger at decent pace. Rolling Thunder done like I described is really pulling the fingers to open up.

1. Rolling Thunder 1 RM test
Right: 95 kg
Left: 80 kg

2. Rolling Thunder high volume (without any wrist flexion)
Right: 20 x 70 kg, 20 x 70 kg
Left: 20 x 70 kg, 10 x 70 kg

3. Axle Wrist Curl
1 x 80 kg
2 x 70 kg

Wanted to see where my max effort numbers are. Getting stronger real quick now it seems.

2.6.2016

1. Rolling Thunder high volume (without any wrist flexion)

Right: 20 x 75 kg, 7 x 75 kg

Left: 5 x 75 kg, 2 x 75 kg, 5 x 70 kg

2. Axle Wrist Curl

3 x 70 kg

3 x 70 kg

2 x 70 kg

20 x 40 kg

10 x 40 kg

75 kg is clearly a weight that starts to feel heavy with RT in this manner. My current bodyweight actually. These gains have come easily but the actual work starts now.

OK. Maybe I should if there's interest? Basically I have now 6 good months of conjugate method training behind. Weekly training sessions vary between 4-10 times counting 4 main workouts plus all the accessory work which includes grip, mobility, etc. Currently focused on packing some mass and to achieve that without too much of fat my plan is to cycle eating so that I bulk for 3 weeks and then cut down the next 2 and so on.

Thanks Ben. It is working well for me at the moment. Not going to give up on it until 100 kg + weights become routine.

Rolling Thunder high volume (without any wrist flexion)

Right: 20 x 75 kg, 12 x 75 kg

Left:  10 x 75 kg, 6 x 75 kg

Skipped wrist curls. Hands are beaten from actual work already. Somehow managed to improve on RT though. Got some air with 100 kg before these high volume sets. Probably can do a good lift once properly recovered. I am sure the technique I use for high volume sets will pay off big time in the future.

After this went and pumped up the arms with way too many curl and extension variations. Too tired to type it all here.
