Guest Combat Student
Monday I took my new farmer's walk implements for 100 yards with 140 lbs in each hand. I had to sit them down twice for about 30 seconds. I plan on doing it again Friday. Do you guys think that's too soon? Guest JD79
Depends on how you feel. If you feel rested then go for it. If you pick up the weights and they feel extra heavy then I would call it off. Better safe than sorry. It also depends on what other grip woek you plan on doing. I'd think your hands would be too fried to allow you to do any other grip work. Thats just my opinion. Guest SUPERGRIP
combat student , i think that as long as you dont feel any pain and that you feel ok then it would be ok to train again on friday , but i wouldn,t do them them the following monday because it might be too soon , i would infact wait until either tuesday or wednesday until i do them again unless you are trainining for distance and endurance , then in which case you can train more frequently . if it is pure grip strength that you are seeking then i would add weight each workout and train every 5 - 7 days on the farmers walk and limit your grip workouts to no more than twice a week max !
