JoshW
This just popped into my head - When gorillas are swinging from tree to tree they can hold their own bodyweight 500-600lbs+ with one hand Its just common sense really, they have evolved and adapted to be the way they are for a number of different reasons. lifesnotfair
Fun fact that may not contribute much to the thread, but I thought I'd share. English is my second language and I don't live in an english-speaking country, so forgive me if this book and author are a mandatory read for many of you as kids, or whatever... but this week I got interested in reading a story book by Edgar Allen Poe, and the very first book deals with some murders were extraordinary strength must have been needed to perform them, and.... well, I almost don't wish to spoil it in case anyone has not read it yet, but lets just say that it reminded me of the whole Primate-to-humans comparisson thread
slazbob
And common sense will guide you to learn to critically think about thingsYeah, about many of important things in my life... But, Not that I'm as strong as an Ape! We can put ya in a cage with them and see how long your nose and your "other parts" stay on you-- they are known for ripping those off, in attacks. ChimpGrip
So who thinks a gorilla can close the hercules gripper? Serious question. If you don't think a gorilla could, then what gripper could he close? The galaxy?
Arne
So who thinks a gorilla can close the hercules gripper? Serious question. If you don't think a gorilla could, then what gripper could he close? The galaxy? I tnink a very big, strong and angry gorilla male is capabel to close it with proper technic... Alawadhi
ChimpGrip you are right about we shouldn't over think stuff before testing it. But you know what? I think you know deep down that Gorilla's are stronger than us and yet you are acting stubborn. I have been in many feilds in my life (sometimes I can be stubborn too but to a some extend which I admit it's not right if you want to learn). and many are so stubborn that they only want to hear what they wanna hear. Listen mate. Accept the fact that Gorilla's are stronger. Plus it's not worth to argue with your mates here over chimps and gorillas. Seriously dude! Josh O'Dell
Serious ok, I think it would shread his palm skin off before even getting close. That would be no way to messure somethings grip that can rip flesh right off the bone.. mangle bannana trees and twist steel bars like pretzles.. There is a reason they are either in a cage or in the jungle and you no as i no a f!@#$/^ silverbacks grip is stronger if you cant figure that out then why wonder this wonder that, Go to the zoo be like here ms. Silverback here boy.. I gots a gripper for yas too try, then bam smack sh!@ another headline in the paper now you no the ape is stronger only one big problem he kicked yo ass and ate yo gripper. So see its bad to mess with nature very bad actually I recall a few times my brother wondered if rose my hairy 8leged pet would be cool to show his girlfreind when me and my parents was not there. Needless to say rosey was fine but my brothers arm looked like its time for a trip to the ER for a amputation. Ol o yea and this other time i had a Pet (Snake) see the word snake? Means leave it alone! Anywho it was a seven Foot long ball python named maggie, yea i know weird name for a snake.. dont ask my mom hated it but named it? Yea beats me to. Anyway same thing again brother Thinks hey i will screw with this python and look cool even though i will proble get my Ass bit then WHAM! Got him good. So the moral of my story is simple nature may look Like it can just be toyed with and tested and even underestimated, so if i was you i would Leave the apes be ! ChimpGrip
I just want to be super strong and want to accomplish some big things in the world of strength (as well in life, too)
JoshW
If you want to be super strong, just train buddy. Set the #3 as your goal then if you get there the #4..then tell us how realistic you think it is to be able to close the Hercules gripper.
