jvance
I get those kinda amazed looks from people at work all the time when I hub lift vehicle denial barriers (bollards) straight out of the ground.. It actually wasn't all that difficult to me as I have been able to lift them since the beginning of my interest in hand strength. I wish it could inspire action instead of awe though. Most people I know confound me with a complete lack of interest in functional strength. Edited September 19, 2013 by jvance
Josh O'Dell
Thats pretty cool man, I try to get some of my lifting buddys to try grip because it has increased my overall strength. I have sparked muscle fiber that i never thought possible with bending and grippers, not to mention i strictly use thickbar everything now i never use regular size bars. Cannon
I got out of a gas station store the wrong way this weekend. Not as cool of a story. The "IN" door has no handle on the inside because they want you to go around to the other side of the counter and go OUT the right door. Probably for shoplifting, etc. Well the inside of the door had a tiny, smooth, flat deadbolt. That was the only thing to grab. I used my key pinch strength to pinch that and pull the door open. Took two tries. The door was pretty heavy on the hinges. Another shopper must have seen me do it because as I went throught he parking lot, I saw another guy trying and he wasn't getting it open.

Broly
I have a ninja blender and the base is kind of similar to a hub but a little more shallow and slippery. Anytime I go to blend something up I'll hold the blender in one hand then hub lift the base. Originally I could never do this till I trained grip. It's a fun little trick anyone in grip can probably do and it's fun to freak out the wife with the fear of dropping it.
Mephistopholes
So I used to work in show production, primarily as a sound man. Of course there were a few occasions where guys tried to rip me off, and I had to muscle the money out of them, one time resulting in me kicking down this guy's door (literally). One time I was at a concert (as a spectator) and a guy (promoter) who once tried to rip me off was there. This was like a year after the initial event... So he sees me, and comes over to shake my hand. I don't know why he felt like this was a good idea, but that's what he did. So he extends his hand to me, I grab his, and squeeze it so hard I feel something, like a bone or tendon, slide out of place, followed by a notable "pop". Guy gasps, his eyes bug out, and when I let go of him he grabs ahold of his hurt hand with his other and quickly slips away. I win. Haha.
jchapman
I coach my son's baseball team. Whenever we take the tarps off the home plate area and the mound, I carry two sandbags in each hand, kind of V-bar style from the empty, tied off ends. I then farmers walk them at least 100 feet.
