I've been keeping a log on Bender's Battlefield for a few years. The sites been down for a few days, so I figured what better time than now to start a log here!? Some background info: Age: 39 H

Here is the 345 bench from yesterday. Not a perfect rep, but I'll take it! Bodyweight was around 195lbs.

In 12 years of steel bending, today was my first (unplanned) snap on double-overhand.  😲  The 1045 I have is tough, and feels a lot harder than similar diameter stainless throughout the bend on the crush and similar to thicker steel at the same length.  The kink was slow and I held the hit for a few seconds, and then it just snapped, with a popping sound.  For a second, I was worried that I was going to get gashed, but was far enough from my neck/body that nothing happened.  I don't think I'm going to mess around with these bars on DO anymore; just sticking to DU with them.

Normally I don't bend horseshoes in jogging pants.  It turned-out to give me some trouble, as I couldn't really get the shoe to stay in one place.  And on the crush, my padding kept moving around, which made it challenging.

The 1/4 x 7" square, which is usually a tough bend, was ridiculously easy.  Almost like easy 1/4" O1 drillrod.  Never had a square bar bend like that before.  It really made the Grade 8 after it that much more difficult.
