I was happy to get the 150 on the 2-hand pinch, as I wrote about above. I've been stuck at 140 for almost 2 months, with no real sign of progress. So, it was getting pretty frustrating. But, I continued with different set-ups and it just clicked today. I got the 40lb. Hex Blob for the first time. :grin: My previous best with this thing was maybe a half-inch off the ground.

2-hand pinch felt pretty good ... 145 felt great and was the easiest 145 I've done so far. First time trying 160. I got about 1 inch of air, then lost it. I was going to take another attempt, but my thumbs were starting to scream.

I've been trying to get a 220 1-hand deadlift for one of the qualifying attempts for nationals. I've gotten it up to/slightly past my knees a few times before, but just missed the lift with judging. This one was better than the previous few ... hopefully enough.

Thanks Tom! I've been attempting the 1-handed dead lift for my third. The others were the hub and 1-handed axle. I hope to get a few more too. Not sure if this one was good enough either.

My fingers got torn up today from the DO/DU. Took both DU bends to about 50 degrees. The PL00 shoe locked up on me at 50 and I couldn't get good hand placement or a stable base to really hit it on the sweep. So, I wrapped up a LR00 and destroyed it. I've had some mutant PL00s it seems ... some I have bend without too much trouble (relatively speaking); some I have been unable to get past 5-10 degrees. The PL000s I've done have been more consistent.

I haven't squatted in a suit for awhile and it felt pretty awkward with the straps up... especially trying to keep the bar stationary, without it rolling. On the axle, I was able to get the bar up to my knees, which was a first with 275.

Ended up getting frustrated with the 2-hand pinch today. I might need to do something different with chalking/wiping (etc.) the plate before the lift. I need to do some more experimenting. In a "frustration attempt," I tried 155 a few consecutive attempts and tore open my thumb pad again. This only got better with the DU bending afterwards. :rolleyes

I was finally able to get 35lbs. on the Stub. I've been getting it a few inches the past few sessions, but was able to get it up to a full lift today. It went down hard, though, and ended up smashing/bending the nail on my thumb pretty good. Today was the first time I tried the Silver Bullet too. The 2.5 was tough the first attempt, but I think it was more a technical thing, because the second attempt with it was a lot easier.

I got my early birthday present: the Ironmind axle! So, today, I tried it right away. I've been lifting with the Sorinex axle the past few months, and have nearly gotten 270. It felt like my max with the Apollon Axle is about 10 pounds less. Totally different feel between the two. Planning on spending the time with the Ironmind axle, then switching it up a little to see where I'm at.
