First time I've tried the KB ext. in awhile.  I couldn't do these for a few months due to my wrist issues from bending; it was one of the things I was avoiding, attempting to be optimistic the wrist would improve.  After doing these, there was zero pain, which was surprising.  But, it seems like all is OK now.  I had avoided doing any pushup-type movement too, due to the wrist.  But, no issues today with the pushups.  I had a crazy-pump though from them!

I ended up getting out of position on the 455 deadlift, which turned it into a grinder and ended up causing a pretty severe headache for the rest of the day/night.  Not fun.

The headache improved today, so, to celebrate, I got some work in.  Everything was good until I started the snapping, and the headache returned.  I'm fairly certain now that it is an exertional headache from the deadlifts.  From what I've read, I might have to take some time off to let this resolve.

Still have the headache.  Decided to skip squats today because of it.  Instead, I got some light work in, hoping it would help.  I was also planning on making my 2nd attempt for the Steel Shredders 4 competition, but it doesn't look like that will be happening anytime soon.  😟

I ended up getting checked out yesterday at the doctors and had a few tests done, and the diagnosis was an exertional headache.  My blood pressure has been up the past few days which has been exasperating things too.  So, the recommendation is to rest.  I didn't plan on doing a braced attempt today, but have spent too much time planning and preparing for the SS4 comp and don't want to have wasted the past month in preparation and with training.  So, I did a maintenance bend to stay within striking distance of my next planned attempt, which I hope to do sometime over the next week, if things are feeling better.

I did a brief write-up on the bend/attempt in the bending section (link above).  Unfortunately, the headache I have had the past week+ came back after today's session.  Not fun dealing with this.

The headache continues, but not as bad as yesterday.  I know I should probably take some time off, but its tough and depressing to think about that.

Thanks Don.  Not sure what’s been going on.  Definitely frustrating and concerning, but will keep pushing on.  Or do what I can.

I had been debating to put this bend off for another week-or-two, until the headache improved or resolved, but decided if I waited that long, it might not happen - if ever.  With the thought of a break derailing my recent gains, and the contest coming to a close soon, I decided to make an attempt with my last bar from this (hard) batch.  The bend was tough (regardless of how it appeared and the speed).  Amazingly, for a few hours after the bend, I felt the best I have in the past few weeks.

I have a few bars from the easier batch, but am not likely going to improve on this bend, as I would have to cut them to the 18-19" range, which would be out of my current ability, I think.  This bend would have been a WR for the 93k class (tie-breaker on time), but I was about a pound over and was pressed for time, so didn't even bother with it.
