600 felt HEAVY!!!  I think this was only the second time ever I had this much on my shoulders and it was pretty tough getting set-up and back on the hooks.

After having bent so many hard Reds lately, I was kinda walking through the kink on the Golden Bastard, thinking I'd blow right through it and was surprised how weak my first hit was (about 5 deg.).  So, I had to reset and hit it a few more times.  In doing so, I tore up both middle knuckles pretty good.  After a slow bend to about 4" apart, I stopped--mainly not wanting to mess my hands up anymore before the comp.

This was my last session before the comp and I wanted to get a few closes in.  I'm definitely looking forward to competing, but am not looking forward to the trip (10-11 hours each way).  It'll be cool though to see some new places on the way.

Overall, I was happy with the output.  With grippers, I was pretty psyched to get a 131lb. close with a 20mm block.  I definitely messed up on the Flask, as I've hit 150 in training nearly every session.  Just too big of a jump after my second attempt.  Both 149 misses were close.  The Tips Tester was OK.  The medley should have been 8 instead of 6.  I ended up spending way too much time on the DubHub, which I had never touched before this (mistake), and spent 10-15 seconds on it, in frustration, before finally getting it, but at the expense of a few other things I could have gotten.

Bench felt pretty good today.  The 115 on the axle felt like a max.  I ended up going into the rack, with the safety pins, as it was getting pretty close to ripping out of my grip on the way down the past few times at 105-110.

My attempts on the #3 weren't that good ... probably 3-5 mm from touching.  2-hand pinch felt solid today.  I was really surprised to get my 37.5 fatman, especially not having tried it for awhile.

I missed the 405 just out of the bottom.  Things weren't really feeling that great during the work-up sets, but I still made an attempt.  I got fired up for a second one and descended faster, which made the difference on the transfer.  Not sure what's going on with my crush strength.  Both attempts at the #3 were pretty weak.  Might just need a break?

I was going to go for 300x5 on bench, but the first 3 reps felt kinda slow and heavy, so I stopped at 3.  It was also pretty cold in the garage, which probably added to the poor reps.

It seems to be hit-or-miss with my 37.5 Blob.  I broke the ground a little with the 35lb. Stub attempt, which would have tied a PR.  I haven't touched this thing in almost a year, so that was pretty cool to still be above 30lbs. on it.  No idea what happened with the IM Pinchblock.  60lbs. used to be easy on this; now, it's not even budging.
