This was the first time I ever tried a grade 5 reverse.  I've never really been a reverse bender, aside from some sporadic training leading up to comps, so I was kinda surprised to get any movement at all.

Nice job on the reverse bend! I like reverse, it really hits the wrists.

Thanks.  I would like to reverse a grade 5 in IMPs relatively soon, and will continue to work this in, as long as my wrist holds up.  Reverse doesn't seem to aggravate it too much, so I'm going to keep trying to improve in this style.  Also, I've never really studied the style like I have DO and DU, so will probably watching some videos to make things a little more technically sound.

I missed the 126 close because I couldn't get a set, due to wrist pain.  I put on a light wrist wrap, and tried a 123 after the miss, and was able to get it OK.  I think I'm going to try to use some type of wrist wrap/protection for things that could aggravate, or continue to cause pain.  Hopefully, this helps a little in the recovery.

The second attempt at 185 wasn't perfect ... one arm wasn't completely locked-out and think I leaned backward a little before the press.  But, I was happy to get it up after missing the first time halfway.

I've been wearing a light wrap on my injured wrist the past week+ on things that seem to aggravate it the most.  (I haven't been wearing it for bending, as it would defeat the purpose and feat, IMO; if I can't bend due to the pain, I go easier.)  But, this is the second session with grippers that the set has been OK with the wrap.  Definitely gaining some confidence with the set on some of the harder attempts, not having the same type of pain.

I'm thinking about it.  Any idea about the steel?  If it's similar to the really difficult stock (non-HRS) from a few months ago?  I've been having trouble on the kink with my wrist, as it is painful through the motion regardless of how I position my hands.  (This is over the thigh kink.)  I might be able to successfully do a knee-kink (and avoid the wrist issue), but this has always aggravated my messed-up knees, so I've avoided it.

I'll probably look into it though.  Wish this would have been earlier in the year, when things were feeling strong.

It is the same type of steel but it looks to be a little easier based on the ratings. The wrist injury sucks to deal with.

Bench felt pretty good today.  If I had a spotter, I might have been able to get a 4th rep with 300.
