Aiming For The 3!

i've decided to make an all out run for the 3, and i figured this would be a good place to post progress and get feedback from people in the know. since i'm wanting to close the 3 all other work will be minimal.

mon. 4/7

grippers:warmup

1x5x2

filed 2x10lb straphold for 10 sec

4x3 neg

filed 2x4overcrushes

pony clamp pinches: 4 attempts and neg each hand.

i usually do more work with the strapholds, but yesterday was my first experience with the 4 so i wanted to play with it a little bit. any suggestions?

How are you doing your negatives with the #4 against your thigh??

I've finally been able to do this with my #3....eventually I'll have to breakdown and grab a 4 as well.

yeah jonathan, i just get as good a set as i can possibly get and then use my other hand and thigh to get it down and far as i can and try to hold on.

4 hard squeezes and holds each hand

filed 2x1 overcrush

fri 4/11

farmers walk w/ a pair of heavy duty ez curl bars

120x1 carry

210x2 carries

170x4 carries

120x1 one handed carry each arm

all weights are for each hand, don't really know the exacty distance, probaby around 75 ft

grippers: filed 2 as many times as possible in 20 min

overcrushes with filed 2: 20 sec, 15 sec

timed holds with filed 2: 25 sec, 20 sec

1x27 sec hold

pony clamp pinches: 4 squeezes each hand

pony clamp pinches:

the #'s on my strapholds are down because i switched to a thin nylon strap from a ratchet strap, that thing is hard to hold on to

the deadline i set myself for closing the 3 is staring me right in the eye. i had hoped to close it before i graduated, but that's now in 3 days and i've still got a little over 1/8 in to go. i guess it's time to set a new time frame for the goal.

You mentioned making a new timeline goal for your #3, what are you hoping for now?? The fall??

This is my ideal time as it'd be great to shut one at the battle for grip supremacy!!
