David Horne
Here's my pulls from yesterday's Armageddon Armwrestling contest in Coventry on video. 2nd of 26 pullers in Pro Open Left hand class. First a/w contest since 2009. Very pleased, considering no training before. Look forward to next year's events.
bwwm
I saw that pop-up on my Youtube subscriptions. Awesome work!!! How do you manage recovery after armwrestling? I tried a few practice pulls a few weeks ago, and my arm & shoulder were sore for weeks. Seems like there's a lot of muscles/tendons that it hits, that I must not be taxing hard enough in my usual training.
David Horne
Usual training, and armwrestling exerices/table work are different things. You will be sore in areas that are weak, or that you have overworked on the table. Do just the right amount of workload on the table to start with. You need to build up. YOU WILL feel sore from practice training, but contest pulling can, and usually is far more painful. You just do more in a contest, and can get into positions you don't do in practice. I actually went and helped my oldest son yesterday dig out a path and lay the slabs. Funny thing was the working actually made my arm feel better! So I'm good to go for normal training today, which is pleasing. I saw that pop-up on my Youtube subscriptions. Awesome work!!! How do you manage recovery after armwrestling? EricMilfeld
Lookin' strong, David! No wonder you were good to go on the manual labor; you hardly broke a sweat on most of those guys.
