Was gonna try for 1 a minute then quickly decided to try 1 per 90 seconds. Didn't keep that up for more then 6 or 7 before saying screw timing it. I videoed Bastards 2-10. The last 15 went pretty slow. Ill try and upload it later. I need a shower. Great job Nate! That is a lot of bars. Some nice tears too! 1

anwnate
Today was 4th backoff day this week. Goal was just to bend something each day. Decided to combine all 4 days in one post. A couple tears want to reopen.

anwnate
Woke up feeling beat to hell. Ordered ClimbOn. Red in 2/3 IMPs. Hands not warm at all. Red in 1/2 IMPs. Destroyed it like I had leathers on. Red in 1/3 IMPs. Palm skin immediately moved on me so I stopped. Probably use heavy padding tomorrow and muscle things.

What's considered "heavy padding" for you? 3/4 IMP's?

Does it matter which one? Which one do you use? Thanks. Edit: Scratch that question. I found the original Climbon bar on sale at REI. Yep, I use the original lotion bar. It's nothing magic, but it helps with skin repair and it keeps the skin soft and elastic which is very important to not get open. Also it's 100% natural. Most care products use oil and acid stuff (like "working hands" for example) which is contra productive for the skin.
anwnate
Unfortunately, I've been in a holding pattern/recovery. Right index has been a pain...literally. Friday Bastard in 2/3 IMPs. Saturday Bastard in 1/2 IMPs. Sunday Bastard in 2/3 IMPs. Monday Bastard in 1/2 IMPs. Today Bastard in 2/3 IMPs. 60d in minwraps (24s). So it occurred to me I don't have a single FBBC Cert. That's likely to change. I ordered everything thats 6" and above.

Donc101
100 days in a row! That chart is great and really shows progress. I also really like the set up to have all your steel layed out like that. A great 100 days!
anwnate
Ugh. Id prefer not logging the last week. Im worn down from nonbending sources this past week. Fri. 60d in minwraps (24s). Sat. 60d in minwraps (24s). Sun. 60d in minwraps (24s). Mon. 60d in minwraps (24s). Tues. 60d in minwraps (24s). Wed. Bastard in IMPs. Thur. Bastard in 2/3 IMPs. Fri. "Q" 0-1 DR @ 8 3/8" in IMPs. Got stuck at 22 degrees and had no ummph. Decided to just recover instead of turning this into a war. Not gonna beat myself up about it. Its a marathon...not a sprint. Tuesdays 60d was given to a friend who witnessed it. It's always cool when they look at you like you're a magician.
acromegaman
I had to remind myself about the marathon / sprint remark quite a bit here lately. It's too easy to be put off by little to no progress when a goal bend seems out of reach. Do you take BCAAs? They have always seemed to help me with recovery in stressful and not so stressful times.

I like the Optimum Nutrition brand. I've had success with it. anwnate
Soooooo...the wife and I are quarantining in the house til the 17th. Father-in-law got Covid. He was moved to a special wing at Hospice since he's at the end game anyway. I may get motivated and start the bending back up. Index finger "looks" ok, but I need to go slow because I've never had such a drawn out injury. In the meantime, I'm eating like crazy and enjoying being lackadaisical. Oh...and I've also challenged my daughter to a 9 week plank challenge. 1min plank on day one. 2 x 1 minute plank on day two...up to day 7. After that it starts back at day 1 but with 90 seconds. This repeats itself til the last day when there are 7 x 5 minute planks. Today is day 4 of week 1. Things are easy now...but won't be as we progress.
anwnate
I received a package of goodies today. A few decor items and a ton of Jonny nails (5/16"). I couldn't resist attempting one. I bent it cold and being the first I've bent in a while. From that I decided it was a little easier than the current reds. Then...being semi-warm, I bent another. I then decided its a little harder than the 2020 reds. Anyway...wanted to share this badass spider. The body is a half 4lb dumbbell. Its now on the front porch ready to scare off kids who dare come up the stairs. Thank you @JHenze646!
anwnate
Jotto sent me a pre-kinked Red from his Cert miss. I couldn't resist attempting it right away. I went downstairs and bend a bastard to loosen up...then straight to the matter. From out conversations I thought it was another "Anton Cert Fiasco" nail, but it didn't have the same look. With some trepidation, I turned on my video camera. After all...as J.T. once said (paraphrase) if I fail spectacularly, I don't have to upload it. lol By the end of it, I'm left to guess that nerves and CNS played a big part in his miss. No doubt that won't be a problem the next time he steps up to the plate.
jasonotto
Ha! Nice man. You may be right about that. I havent had any problem with reds, but I couldn't move it. I knew when I matched it up with reds I had, it looked no different. Oh well. Glad u could lay it to rest!
Mashmonster268
@anwnateAre you still training grip? I hope so. I'm thinking about re-starting your SSN workout for my left hand. Trying to find the details 8 years after the last time I was using it.
