anwnate
Bw squats. Glute bridges. Red in IMPs. First hit did nothing but hurt. Pissed me off. Second hit to 90 degrees. Red in 2/3 IMPs. Again felt better than the singles. Warmup happens I guess. "Q" 0-1 DR @ 8 3/8" in 1.5/1 IMPs. Man do I look forward to the day I write "singles." Today 10 degrees in IMPs...1 hit with 1.5s...to 30 degrees. Put singles back on and finished her off. Definite improvement. Gotta stay patient. In related news...the wifey thinks I'm going back into heart failure...so I'm gonna adjust a tiny bit. Got some new "Red path" DR yesterday. Time to cut. 3
anwnate
Today is my 50th bending day in a row. Started May 27th. Here are the spoils... Totally random that it filled a row. While I have no specific volume goals, here's the breakdown. 60ds. 58 G5. 1 Reds. 42 "P" @ 8 3/8." 8 "Q" @ 8 3/8." 25 "I" @ 7" (DU,RV) 6 "K" @ 7" (DU) 1 Today's session... Bw squats. Glute bridges. Red in IMPs. Meh. Red in 2/3 IMPs. Lil better. "Q" 0-1 DR @ 8 3/8" in 1.5/1 IMPs. 10 degrees in IMPs. I thought for a bit that I broke my left wrist. It made noise and really hurt. Must have been shit form. Numerous hits with 1.5s to 35 degrees. Finished in singles Lots of bad hits today. It was like I forgot what I was doing. Could have been subconciously avoiding pressuring tears on fingers. Hope to hell my wrist is ok. Would have been nice to completely bend a Q in singles on my 50th session...but that really freaking arbitrary. I'm doing better than I hoped for this early. My original estimate was 1000 days. I'm cautiously optimistic shave time off that. 3

anwnate
Bw squats. Glute bridges. Red in IMPs. Not terrible. Red in 2/3 IMPs. Not bad. Red in 1/2 IMPs. From the second hit on...easy peasy. When my hands recover fully, I'll attempt a Red in 1/3s and maybe 36s(1/4s). "Q" 0-1 DR @ 8 3/8" in SINGLE IMPs. Not 100% sure what I did, but I suspect it was bar placement. Or...maybe killing a Red in 1/2s prepped my hands. Either way... once I had it to 30, I knew today was the day. I took 1.5s to an "R"...managed 29 degrees before calling it. Probably should have waited til next Wednesday to attempt it. At least I wasn't as stubborn this time. I'll keep mastering Qs until next Wed. Definitely a good day of bending.

anwnate
Glute bridges. Red in IMPs. Pretty good Red in 2/3 IMPs. Pretty good "Q" 0-1 DR @ 8 3/8" in 1.5/1 IMPs. Did not know until I started the Q that my CNS was completely fried. I plowed ahead...but should have just stopped. Close to my stupidest bending decisions I've made...but it's done. I'm hurting six ways to Sunday. 1
anwnate
So I started the session with a numb right leg. Not a good sign, as it meant I slept funny and back was fcked. Also my left shoulder is pretty funky so I'm gonna break from long steel til Wed. Oh well. Do what you can...right? BW Squats. Glute bridges. Red in IMPs. Not bad. Tears are starting to fill in, but I'm still a good week away from a no bandaid session. Red in 2/3 IMPs. Pretty good Red in 1/2 IMPs...no good. Stopped at 8 degrees and my hands simply wussed out. Ok my CNS has a little something to do with it...but that was the end of min wrap bending today. "I" 0-1 DR @ 7" DU. Meant this as a warmup bend and it went fairly easily, but left wrist tweaked. So...no more DU for a while. All in all an unimpressive session, but its important mentally that I show up each day. What happens isn't always under my control...but showing up is.

anwnate
Glute bridges. BW squats. Bastard in IMPs x 24 Yeah well...I wanted to break in some new IMPs, so I wrapped up 6 bastards and it went well. It kept going well so I reused them 3 times. By then I had a number of tears reopening and it was a good place to stop. I dont think I've done this volume before. My body wanted to get sloppy on the last 4 or so. With my heart, I'd probably have to train a long time for an endurance feat.
anwnate
My glaring back issues reminded me that I'm really slacking on the planks. A strong core will help support a back with issues...and my core is pathetic. So I'm going to recommit to 3 planks mon, wed , fri...and work on duration as I proceed. Glute bridges. Bw squats. Planks. Started prepping a bunch of new IMPs. I now officially have a shitton of IMPs at the ready. My hands were cramping pretty bad because of yesterday's session. I threw a beat up IMP over a 60d and bent it. With all the healing tears I got going on, recovery from yesterday, avoiding DU/Reverse, and avoiding long steel...I just wanted to say i bent something today.

anwnate
Glute bridges. BW squats. Red in IMPs. Kink hurt like hell. Red in 2/3 IMPs. Kink kinda hurt. Hands are mid healing...need a good deal more. Have to leave. Short session.
anwnate
Glute bridges. BW squats. Red in IMPs. A little annoying. Red in 2/3 IMPs. Not so bad "Q" 0-1 DR @ 8 3/8" in 1.5/1 IMPs 2nd worst Q I've bent. It was like I forgot what I've been doing. Its equally possible I'm not recovered from Sunday and was unable to harness any power. I'll have to check my shoulder tomorrow to see if I should pick right back up with the 8 3/8". At the moment, my wrists ache like hell. Probably should have let the Q go today...oh well. After Sunday, I'm now wearing a mouthpiece when bending. I do NOT recommend the one in the pic. Then again...maybe my mouth is atypical.
JHenze646
Maybe a mouth guard like this is a better fit for you. (Humor) 1

anwnate
Glute bridges. BW squats. Planks. Cottrell was housebound so we did a short video bending. Great to see him pushing forward! Today I mainly wanted to hand condition without tearing anymore...so I bandaided up. Red in IMPs. Red in 2/3 IMPs. Red in 1/2 IMPs. The last one I kinked to 90 on the first hit. I'm going to do Red 1/3s and 1/4s when my palm heals up. I probably could have melted them today but 100% would have opened up my palms. I'm trying hard to stay in the game so...postponing those bends. Went to cardiac guy today. He micro adjusted the settings on the pacemaker to make it more sensitive to demands.
anwnate
Simlilar to yesterday. Glute bridges. BW squats. Planks. Red in IMPs. Bitch hurt. Red in 2/3 IMPs. Went easy. Red in 1/2 IMPs x 2. Tried a Red in 1/3 IMPs and it was like I lost my mojo. Bent maybe 4 degrees and just put the 1/2 IMPs on to complete it. These 1/2 IMPs bends were probably easier than any I've done before. I'd call it it a microPR..or at least a noticeable milestone. Progress is materializing.
anwnate
Still recovery. Nearly identical to yesterday. Glute bridges. BW squats. Red in IMPs. Not bad Red in 2/3 IMPs. Cake. Red in 1/2 IMPs x 2. Playing tomorrow by ear. Either gonna bend a lot...or a shit-ton. Hoping for a shit-ton.

anwnate
What is this a picture of? Answer: a life lesson. I had grandiose ideas of bending 50 bastards in IMPs today. Life had other plans. I bent a Red to warmup and it went surprisingly easy. Literally the first hit on a bastard...my right index tore. First freaking hit. I went over to my 1985 camera and turned it off. I sat down and collected myself. Fck it...put a bandaid on and power through! During the first 4 Bastards...both index, both middle knuckles, and my right palm all tore. During the 5th Bastard...my back seized on me. Is someone trying to tell me something? I limped through the next 5 Bastards and sat to think. So many things were whirling in my head. I was thinking depressive thoughts, frustration, anger, sadness...basically falling for that old familiar trap again. Seriously...what is so special about today that I needed to accomplish this feat this Sunday? Nothing. So...I'm gonna try and be less rigid about daily goals and try and follow my body's signals more. If I can figure out a way to incorporate biofeedback into my bending...I will. Most of all, I'm going to try to unchain myself from "expectation" and accept what comes. "Try" being the operative word.
