David Horne
A MASSIVE big up to Ivan Beritashvili of Russia, who not only won the Open category of the World's Strongest Hands contest (with 70 competitors), but won the 93k class as well (34 competitors)! Two trophies will heading to Moscow.

David Horne
Dave, I hope to back in 2013. Just got to get this surgery out of the way, and hope it's a success. The last surgery wasn't succesful. Fingers crossed! Prior to our leg on Saturday, we chucked a few names around on who we thought would win. I put Jouni's name out there, and also mentioned Ivan and yourself. Elizabeth went for Adam, and everyone else voted for a Juha win. Thank you Juha! Was sorry to see Jouni Pakarinen didn't compete. He did very well last year. Hopefully next year David Horne is back!
Jedd Johnson
Good job everybody. Thanks to Elizabeth and David for putting it all together and managing the data. Send some thoughts Wojo's way. He experienced a serious injury on the Adjustable Thick Bar. He's going to the doctor today, so hopefully it is not as serious as we feared during the comp.

Chez
Good job everybody. Thanks to Elizabeth and David for putting it all together and managing the data. Send some thoughts Wojo's way. He experienced a serious injury on the Adjustable Thick Bar. He's going to the doctor today, so hopefully it is not as serious as we feared during the comp. I hope he recovers quickly. It was a scary moment. John (Wojo) is a true warrior. He still competed in the last event (the stub) with his other hand and didn't complain after getting injured. He was already talking about what exercises he would be able to do when he got home that wouldn't be affected by the arm.
Jedd Johnson
Wojo is for real a warrior. Didn't even hesitate about going on to the next event. Just sat quietly and got refocused with ice on his arm and waiting until he could get back on the platform. After the comp, he came up and enjoyed some food and beers with us all and swapped stories and if someone would have come in during the whole thing you never would have known he had gotten hurt. It was awesome. Inspiring to say the least.
David Horne
Sorry to hear of Wojo's injury, and hopefully it is not serious, and he's only a couple of weeks out while it heals. Injuries are just one of those things that can happen in strength sports. Out of all strength sports, grip is pretty tame on the injury front. In the other strength sports I have done through my life I've seen some serious stuff. In Armwrestling I have seen 3 broken arms, one was the pull before mine. After the person was taken away in the ambulance, the next puller up was me. It did make me think. Anyway all the best to him.
