I wonder what kind of "supplements" Arsen takes. I need to switch to his protein powder.

There is no real power there. The guy has no ass. Its not possible without balance.

Well, both of these guys are at the topof the Armwrestling world in their respective weight classes. Zoloev might even make Top 10 in an unlimited weight class, the man is a freak. I like the guy because he still looks "normal" in spite of an insane-looking forearm. Here is four more pics of Zoloev:

http://en.armpower.n...f_zoloev-04.jpg (This last one, when I first saw it, it seemed photoshopped to me, because his right arm seemed so much bigger than the left, specially the area of the wrist tendons, seems much thicker/smoother.... but from all the other pics I can believe this is just the case of how he is built from all the armwrestling).

While Arsen....

Here is Young Arsen:

Here is a bit older Arsen:

And the current Arsen photos were posted a few posts above me.....

I don't even know what to say about him. In fact I'll keep my thoughts to myself and just say: amazing transformation. His training regime must be very effictive. :D

Joe, those pics you posted are crazy! the forearms are so big / out of proportion it does look like a photoshop job. they obviously work hard and are top athletes so i cant knock them for that, on another note, i personally think it looks stupid.

Id have to agree with Arturo on this, that Zoloev looks strong, but "normal" as he put it. i am looking at this completely from a bodybuilding perspective though..

Zoloev has likely been pulling predominately right handed for a long time, hence the tendon and ligament development. That looks natural, however, as opposed to the Arsen photos.

Arsen has the head, neck, and arms of a 300 pound man. the rest is in proportion.

That guy kind of reminds me of Pinhead from the Puppet Master series. :)

Regardless that some of these guys are using certain 'supplements' I'm still curious as to what routine they use for their forearm growth?

These 2 guys are very "ELITE" arm wrestlers that have ENORMOUS power!

Basically, they arm wrestle a lot and perform various exercises that are very specific to

movements that one would do at an arm wrestling table against an opponent.

I can guarantee you that either one of these guys has upper body strength/power beyond

most people's comprehension! It's that ENORMOUS!

You know, I know this topic is a couple of weeks old. But I really feel the need to comment on this. I have met Zoloev in person, up close. I have the picture to prove it. And I do not believe, not for one second, that he has a 16.5" forearm. For one thing, he has a very small frame, and is very small in person. This will amplify the look of his forearm when he is flexing or is heavily contracting his muscles during a match. I don't know where those measurements came from, but I do not believe them. I think what we have hear is another ROTN 2009 situation, with people claiming ridiculous measurements, and then having their forearms amazingly spontaneously shrink in the presence of a tape measure. It's funny how the tape measure has the ability to somehow shrink people's arms, while expanding their waist. At least according to what people will tell you about their measurements, it would seem the tape measure has this power when actually presented.

I think they might take their measurements with a fully goosenecked, pumped forearm held at a 90 degree angle... that could add several inches to the supposed measurement and explain the discrepancy.

I agree with you David.

The measurements come from ArmPower.net website.

What they don't mention is how they measured the forearms.

Me and Terry Todd along with some other very informed historians discussed this very thin yesterday

at the lunch table.

BTW, it was me and Rob Vigeant that took the tape measure to people's arms/forearms at ROTN in 2009.

It was hilarious how everyone's measurements changed suddenly!

The tape doesn't lie but then there's the issue of how to measure properly as well.

Good points you made here David!!!

what is the appropriate way to measure an arm Joe?

Daniel, I apologize for not mentioning this.

We specifically discussed the correct way to measure the forearm and we all agreed that

David Willoughby's method he used was indeed correct for very consistent measurments.

The procedure is as follows:

Place tape measure around the largest part of the forearm.

Arm extended.

Fingers extended.

Hand pronated.

No contraction of the muscle! (BTW, muscles don't flex. Joints flex.)

Arm can be extended by one's side or raised to the front at approximately 30-45 degrees.

All measurements are cold.

Tape must be snug around the area measured but not so snug that there's an indention

in the skin.

Tape must also be level. Meaning when the ends meet, there's no overlap which would result

in an erroneous measurement. Tape cannot be at angles. Tape must be as level as possible.

Best to take 3 measurements for better accuracy and consistency.

Record in writing the actual measurement.

Date of measurement.

Person who took the measurement.

List names of witnesses present.

If pictures are taken. Take a photo of the arm in the above described

position before placing tape around the forearm and take a picture of

the forearm with the tape in place around the forearm.

If you have video capabilities, simply video the whole procedure making certain

to identify the person being measured. Show their face and have them state their first and last name.

I found it interesting that when asked that Terry said the largest forearm measurement he has

ever witnessed was that of Bill Kazmier at exactly 17".. David Willoughby measured Kaz's forearm with the above

procedure at the 1st World's Strongest Man Contest. Terry Todd personally witnessed the measurement

taken by Willoughby. I believe later on Cleve Dean's was measured as well and was bigger than Kaz's but Terry didn't

witness this measurement. I'm certain many did that day. I never did hear the exact measurement in our conversation though.

I can see people now changing their stories on their forearm measurements! LOL!

Me included!!! I was extended correctly but I was making a fist and contracting my forearm muscles which can

easily add an half inch or so.

Hope this helps Daniel!!!

For those that would like to skip the details and just get a measurement for their

own record.

The short version would look like this:

Place tape around largest part of the forearm (cold) with your arm and fingers extended.

Make sure tape is level and snug.

Repeat 3 times for accuracy!

Record measurement!

Continue training!!!

Thanks Joe! That was very clear. I just gave it a whirl and was 12.25. That EASILY went to 14.25 when curled up to 120 degrees without pump or flex. Lol. It's nice to know there is a standard for those bros that you mentioned in the thread.
