Haven't seen this posted on this site yet.

The Rolling Thunder world record had stood at 301 lb. since early 2008, when

Mark Felix became the first man in the world to break the 300-lb. barrier

in this benchmark test of grip strength, but tell that record goodbye because Mr. Felix pounded one out of the park on Sunday, as he hit a lift of 146.75 kg (323.5 lb.) at the

2012 Bodypower Expo

in Birmingham, England.

Yep. I was the other athlete. I hit the same as last year 260lbs (118kg).

I was hoping for 270 or so (123kg) which I missed out on last year. Using my very poor handle I pulled 130-kilos / 286lbs on Tuesday night.

oh so true. i used to play golf and get a similar feeling of being deflated while watching pros on tv. for me, i compete against the weights and implements. i still may be the strongest guy on the block but i live on a weak block.

i also try to train with guys stronger and more skilled than me. they help bring my game up.
