Exactly. Death Valley might feel refreshing. So glad I don’t train in my garage anymore.

This snow will probably be gone in the next few days. We’ll go back and forth a few times before it’s here for good. We’ve had years where snow has fallen in every month. We also have summers where we easily hit 30’C plus heat. Everything up here.

Before Supper

Weeks a little garbled up to I did a minimalism mash of my deadlift and press days. I figure I’ll take this week off of deads as I’m kicking off a new lower body cycle and today was the final “rep” day of the press cycle. Next week I’ll test a 1RM for the summer end. Raining and snowing throughout today’s session. Pulling knocked over sunflowers between sets.

How much volume can you generally get away with on DO Axle lifts?  I've always played it real safe because I haven't found a for sure way to peak the grip based lifts, I just fly by the seat of my pants and hope 2 weeks is enough to bounce back from what ever I did

I really, really suck at thick bar compared to other events. Usually it fries my forearm flexors and gives me massive DOMS but I seem to be okay now. I'm planning on just incorporating a lot over the winter but at a more moderate pace but fairly frequently and see if that pays off. Currently the plan is to use the axle for some sort of posterior chain/squat assistance on squat days, TB dumbbell rows on bench day, and more axle/TB assistance on deadlift day. We'll see how she goes.

Getting pretty chilly and very windy today. Mom came as well so it slowed my pace a bit.
