Before Supper
 
Week 6 deads. Back has been bugging me ever since I got up. I think the goddamn bed is too soft and the 4" I get to sleep on buggers me up. 
 
Deadlift WU to 435 x 5 x 3r
 
Hung from my hips with a band for a bit.

I hate it. Wake up with a sore back almost daily. Doesn't get better until I'm up and moving about for awhile.

Week 7 squat and grip. Week is a bit buggered due to my back niggle and watching the grandgoober. Watching the volume and such to get back on track for next week. 
 
Diet got a bit pooched over the past week or so as well. 232# today.

Good numbers with the adjustable thick bar. I only tried that thing once and I wasn't good at it

Dan Fleming and I were talking about this a bunch over the past few days. This is only the second time that I've worked up to a heavier single and it still feels pretty good. I think the big thing for me is I lift it with just my fingertips and no thumb. Dan was lifting like that today and his numbers shot up a lot since Nationals as well. Next is how square the handle is to yourself. I get the best results with a really supinated grip whereas Dan lifts more "handshake" grip.

Week 7 deads. Pulled sumo to not load up my back so much. Happy with the 2HP. I should have a good PR coming in April. Took awhile until I could curl my fingers after that. Noticing that I'm starting to get some vascularity to my arms as well. Chicks dig a vascular man amirite!?!

Week 8 Squat. Started doing pull-ups between squat sets but my elbow is kinda jacked up. Left wrist is effed too so I stopped grip with it halfway through.

Hmmmm.  Yah know @Durrs you are only 12 minutes away from PHX (I lived there from 2000-2006 btw)

...and it's only a 4.5hour flight out of Phoenix.

Right now it's an expensive 520-560 commitment...but I'm guessing flights out of Phoenix to drop right around April.
