You are a beast indeed. No matter how long I've been reading this log, I can't help but read it with a smile in my face... really, your numbers are so high that I find them funny. I can only dream of ever typing a log with those numbers.... maybe in pounds!!! Heh heh.

April 10th Monday

Bench.. up to 180k x 10 x 2 sets

Wide grip... 150k x 10 x 2 sets

Narrow grip... 150k x 10 x 2 sets

Dumbbell shoulder press.. 50k x 10 x 2 sets

Lateral raises .. 15k x 15 x 3 sets

Tricep pushdowns.. fullstacks x 12 x 3 sets

Abs

May now. April been and gone.

Deadlift thumbless overhand grip... up to 230k

Pinchgrip ... up to 2 x 10k plus 15kg one hand , 4 x 15 kg two hands.

Did You ever try a onehanded 3x15kg plate pinch? There's a VERY short records list at this forum. Chad Woodall has done it when he was in Germany in 2007 (I taped the feat). Go and try it!! :mosher

April 17th Saturday

Nathan Holle and Tim Howard came down for a grip workout in the garage.

Started out with the trainer to warm up, then on to the No2 for a few reps.

I then went to the no3 , elite, no3.5 grippers.

Nathan jumped straight to the NO 4, then my single stamped No 4 for a few.

Nathan then shut the HG 500 with a deep set twice in a row.

Is there a video? Please say there is a video!

That goes for any board members.

As long as you tell me before hand and i can arrange for Nathan to come down and more importantly clear it with 112lb of female fury !!

Clean and press .. up to 64k

Bent press .. up to 84kg (holding 2 kettlebells in one hand)

27th May Wednesday

One hand snatch on 2.5in barbell... up to 70k

One hand clean on 2.5in barbell.. up to 77.5kg ... just missed the 80kg and hit myself in the jaw !!

Two hands clean "" "" "" ....up to 130kg

Duck walk .. worked up to 320kg for 5 yards.. more like a duck shuffle!!!

Pinch grip.. up to 2 x 15k and 10k plate using one hand , up to 4 x 15k using 2 hands.... broke 4 x 10k plates off floor , then fell on my foot!!

can you snatch the inch? I think that you are near...

I would like to see you push pressing a 2 inch barbell with one hand. I remember you lifting 110 kg in this exercise. It would be possible a video of that?

The way you are going in your trainining you will be push pressing the 110k with one hand!!

One of my strength idols recently passed,Chuck Ahrens, and i thought i'd try and get strong in the movements that he and Steve Merjanian (is training partner)were freakishly strong in.

So i've started a training program to emulate them, i'll be using 2" bar to keep the grip aspect in also.

Tuesday 15th June

Incline press....Up to 180kg x 3

One arm press.... up to 90kg x 3 used ez bar.

One arm front raise ...up to 100lb x 5

Seated tricep overhead extensions .. up to 90kg x 5

Tricep pushdowns .. Full stack x 15 x 3 sets

Goals ... 500lb incline, 300lb one arm push press, 300lb curls.

Friday 18th June

Bent rows using 2" bar.. up to 180kg x 5, swapped to ez bar ... up to 210kg x 5

Pull downs ... up to 230kg x 5

Narrow chins using 2 fingers .. up to added weight of 80kg x 1 rep (bodyweight 120kg)

Using 1 finger of each hand .. up to 20k x 3

Curls using 2" bar up to 110kg x 3 x 3

Dumbbell alternate curls .. up to 50kg x 3

One arm dumbbell press... up to 90k x 5

Gorrilla grip two hands ... 120kg x 10 x 3 sets

Sultan Squat you say, that´s a new name for them. I always just called them good morning squats.

Great exercise, just want to raise a little warning about them, It´s a high risk exercise in terms of risk of injury. I managed to partially tear the lower insertion point of my vastus medialis doing them. Took me over a year to recover.

Power clean ... up to 155k

Olympic Squats.. 230k x 5 x 3

Pinch two hands .. 80kg x 5 x 5

Middle Inch toss hand to hand for a few sets.

Video of this on youtube, my mate put it on , i think he's labeled it ..Chris James circus bell , or something.

Hi Chris, what's the weight of the middle inch db you use. 63kg or 69kg?

Hi Florian,

Its 69kg mate, but a little bit has fallen off so its about 67.5kg now !!

One of my training partners and all round good guy Ross Stone(Britains strongest man competitor)as an adjustable dumbbell with a 2.5 inch handle which is very handy to use.

How's the training going mate , hope you are still insanely strong!!
