I've had a cold for 3 days.  Knew I should have switched to Modello or Dos Equis.

But benched this am. 240 single (post injury PR) then 5 reps with: 200, 195, 190, & 185. Didn't feel strong, but progress.

Finished up with band curls.

Still fighting the crud.  Finally felt good enough to do something today.  Kept it short n sweet:

Raw BP up to 245 X 1 easy. (post injury PR)

MD Slingshot: 275 X 2 easy

Regular Slingshot: 225 X 10 - grinder (post injury PR.

First squatting since I got the plague.  Lungs aren't 100% so I kept reps low.  Worked on scapular, shoulder, ankle, and hip mobility for about 15 minutes prior to workout.  Really helped.  Who woulda thunk it?

Straight bar back squats: up to single with 315

Axle deads: worked up to single with 440

90° pullup holds: 3 x 10 seconds

Band face pulls

High and low band curls

Hike with family down to the river flats and back on a new trail.  Very enjoyable.  My son now thinks daddy is the strongest man in the world because I pushed over a rotten tree.  So I got that goin for me.

How did the JM press with your SSB feel? I have been meaning to try those, but I'm still improving with the oly bar.

It was pretty cool.  Basically turns it into a two part exercise, kind of a low skull crusher with a press at the end, where a traditional one is more of a blend, but I actually think I liked this more.  Felt it more in the triceps.

Yesterday the boy and I hiked a new trail near our house.  The pace is slow, but man do we have fun exploring together.  Found an old car graveyard, which he thought was exceedingly cool.  Lol

SSB Paused Box Squats up to 315 x 3

Zercher squats up to 275 x 1 pretty easy but painful

Band pull throughs up to 2 Efts light bands x 20 (feel the burn!)

Yates rows: 2 x 20 at 135 lbs

Band curls

I believe set these up right at parallel but I'll let judge @EricMilfeld give them white or red.

Thanks Eric.  Still not a ton of weight, but moving in the right direction.   Momentum as you say!

Shoulders pretty tender after this workout.  Going to take a week off the bench, then make my run at 300.

225 X 6 (PI PR)

RED SS: 225 X 10 (PI PR)

MDSS: 225 X 10 (I was toast at this point)

Band curls and rotator cuff work.

Well, I hadn't weighed in for about 3 weeks.  Ooops.  Back at it ...tomorrow.   🤣

258 today.  Still down 22, but going the wrong way.  Good news is, it doesn't seem to be a lot of fat.

Felt ridiculously strong ( for me ) today after a week off benching:

275 x 2 raw

300 x 4 MDSS

225 x 9 raw

Then rotator cuff work and band triceps press downs.

Yea, muscle memory is a beautiful thing.  Haha

Unfortunately, I'm now back to where I was right before I tore my elbow.  So we'll see how it goes from here.  I'd just like to get 300 one more time before the Covid gets me. 😷🤧🤒😵
