This challenge got me working with the blob50 again. Yesterday I barely missed 55. I'm hoping to get it next week.

I think I stated this a few pages back, a few weeks back.... but there is video of Richard Sorin doing blob plus 24 and some decimals. Same video where he snatches it. It was a recent video, a few months ago.

Edit: the snatch was actually with thumb and two fingers! Wow. Here's the vid: http://www.sorinexforums.com/community/showthread.php?t=440

And it says it's a blob that weighs dead on 50 pounds, plus 24.25 pounds.

You did, and I saw it. However as I stated a few posts back he drops it at the top of the lift, and rule 11 states it must be lowered under control.

EDIT: As I reviewed the video, he dropped it about halfway down the lowering and I want more opinions on this. Absolutely no bias because he is a well respected member here and because he probably maybe possibly could have completely lowered it under control because he held it at the top.

I think he had plenty of strength to lower it in control. When you're doing this ex post facto stuff, it's best to be charitable.

Fair enough, just as you said I'm trying not to infer anything, just analyze the video as it is presented to me.

My blob plus 10 It weighs 60 right on. My blob is 50 lbs. I didn't have a scale at the time. If I need one I will do it some other time with a scale.

The video might not be ready yet.

Nick/Stew, in response to your video and rethinking my rules I don't really see how uneven loading should make a big difference. Ideally it should be but since it doesn't affect the load on fingers v. thumb and even though you had the lighter side on R+P since this is a whole hand fairly evenly strength required lift. If anyone objects feel free, but I think this is ok.
