PowerHouse
Well I'm sure Dave won't have a problem with the call since it's in the rules. But just for my sake I can't pick my blob from the square maybe it's just me but sure don't seem easier it strectches my short fingers out to far Square side is harder for me as well. The only way I can lift it with my LH is from the square side. I think it might because there is less chalk buildup. Maybe I just need to clean my off a little. dthor
No lifting by the bottom square because as Jedd said earlier in this thread, it is easier. I think you'll find that most guys feel it is harder from the bottom. Lifting from the bottom makes the Blob slightly wider. Stew and I were lifting and he wanted to take a picture. If I would have known more about this topic I would have asked him not to send it in. odin
I think most Blobs are harder from the bottom/square part.
MalachiMcMullen
Dave, sorry to say it but I've just recently noticed that your lift violates Rule 7. Must be lifted by top part of Blob, you may choose which side for your thumb and fingers No lifting by the bottom square because as Jedd said earlier in this thread, it is easier. You are clearly capable of a lot, you just need to go down and do more now This=Stupid stupid rule. It may be easier if you have big hands or if you have Jedd's blobs, but I can't move my 40 blobs from the bottom but can nearly get it from the top, and I have 2 to play with right now. vikingsrule92
I've never really tried it to be honest and my Blobs are still in Aaron's possession but a lot of people seem to think this is fine so I suppose its ok. However I would like a standard for future, just so we can cross compare lifts more equally and not have to deal with any conjuncture and dissent over which way might be harder making lift X harder then Lift Y because blah blah blah. I'll put it back up on the next update. I didn't mean to rub anyone the wrong way with this, I just thought it was a well established rule that no one ever objected to previously, so I was enforcing it. Jedd Johnson
Hit this again on Saturday. Blob 74.95. Click here to watch the video. P.S. All the weights and the blob are calibrated. I just took two of my blobs to the post office Saturday (that got cut off the video). This one is lighter but it is a bit tougher to lift than the other one, due to friction, which in my opinion is one of the biggest factors in lifting difficulty, sometimes negating the shape of the type of blob (fatboy, blob replica, blob50, etc). -Jedd-
