Have all you guys weighed the blob by itself? I weighed mine last night at the post office, and was surprised to find that it weighs 51lb 3oz.

I just asssume the ones I use weigh 50.0 even, to give my competition the advantage.

Thanks we appreciate it! I had weighed mine when the whole blob weight thread was going on my wife does ebay so she weighs stuff in all the time and I did my blob out of curiuosity.

Dave Thorton came down for my daughter and I's B-Day we messed around down stairs most of the afternoon. I tryed for the 12.5 and 15 extra acouple times but keep losing it at the top or at the knee. He got this though pretty easy also.

Dammit Dave!

I have a feeling that Jedd could enter on this list pretty high.

So could Chad, I'd like to see them both get involved in this competition :whistel :whistel

I've seen Jedd do some pretty big numbers on this messing around after comps might be he knows what he can do and just doesn't want to make the rest of us look bad and I'm ok with that :D gives me a few moments of Hey I'm closer to the top before the top goes up another 10# :D .

When I trained with Chad, I saw him do a very easy Blob plus 20 with no warm-ups. He just did it because I already had the weight on the blob. :rock

Dave, sorry to say it but I've just recently noticed that your lift violates Rule 7. Must be lifted by top part of Blob, you may choose which side for your thumb and fingers No lifting by the bottom square because as Jedd said earlier in this thread, it is easier. You are clearly capable of a lot, you just need to go down and do more now ;)

Does your hand have to actually touch that square part to make it easier? The video seems to show that the bottom square is under the right half of the weights? Look at :16sec in the video. You can see that he's not actually touching the bottom square?

Matt, I think it more has to do with the slope of the blob at each place. But in any regard if we start saying that there is way too much room for argument because even if you say your hand wasn't touching the square you could easily have been and then there's a lot of room for conjuncture.

So, better safe than sorry, just make sure the bottom square is on the floor, right? :D

I really should get a blob one of these days....

Well I'm sure Dave won't have a problem with the call since it's in the rules. But just for my sake I can't pick my blob from the square maybe it's just me but sure don't seem easier it strectches my short fingers out to far
