I've done a 30kg hublift here: http://www.gripboard.com/index.php?autocom...si&img=5465 (the vid is a bit dark).

Never tried a timehold though.

I was wondering when you would get in on this how about a timed hold on the shallow yorks you done it yet?

for max weight my best is 52.5

I dont have a video of it. In my gallery there is a pic of a double hub with 2.5 per side but I do not have a pic of the plus 7.5 for just my right.

Video here of my 60.5 lbs hub lift

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gHn0d7SY-88

I suck at computers. I am using a mini-dvd camcorder to film it, converted the file to avi and it was 1.3 gigs so I shortened the film, reduced the quality and I never could get sound. I have no computer programs for working with vids and windows movie maker would not show my video so just pause it at the begining and see that there are four 2.5lb plates, one 3 pound plate and two 1.25 lbs plates for a total of 60.5 lbs

Feel free to pm me some instructions for doing better with making videos, this is the first video I have ever made.

Hey Stew,

I'm not much into hublifting now, cause I'm concentrating on thickbar and other stuff. The shallow York was a hard lift for me and I had to put some work into it, to get a timehold with this plate.

I saw on youtube, Matti did a double shallow york hub lift too. I think you could do a timehold. He's a pinch freak :rock

Hey I'm on this list!! Haha I never paid attention to this and never noticed it before. Shame I don't have a nice hub like Paul's to train on consistently, I think 65 would be well within reach with a nice hub.

Matti may be impossible to beat on this ...

His timed hold will be around for a while, but I think there are a few guys on here that can and will beat his 66lb lift shortly :)

Question: Does the hub have to lifted off the ground? Or can it be elevated on a small stool at the onset?

How much do think braces along the rim of the plate help?

Let's go with it being lifted off the ground.

As far as bracing goes, I've never done it so I'm not sure how much it helps. A few others on the board have indicated it does help, and because of that, even if it only helps a little, is not allowed.
