Evan Raftopoulos
Yes, I got all of my Tetting grippers the past two months and they are all rated higher than average according to the CPW stats page (which was updated in March). I noticed the same thing with others posted here recently. Perhaps Warren makes them a bit harder on purpose?
JoshW
My new super master the average is 120 and I got 133! I think he is using all the springs he has left before he finally goes so they could be all over the place
Sam Radford
The latest batch of tettings seem quite higher than average..the other josh got a 182 elite but hopefully yours will be a lot lighter! Wow I got a 170 that I thought was high for an elite. My SM came out at 130 so not far off
GrassMaine89
ya I just got an Elite that was 182...luckily I was able to trade it for a much more functional gripper for me...I will also probably wait for pre rated if I get another

Cannon
Jorg, you have quite the gap from 37 to 43! 7 pounds with no gripper in there
Jörg Keilbach
😩 The two Spectrum were probably the last two grippers i ever ordered. Only 2,5s between 119# and 123 # could change my mind😜

Jörg Keilbach
Probably RB's / Spectrum CPW narrow.

I have Tetting Elite EXT - 165 RB CPW 330N - 166 Tetting MM2 replica -167 I'm waiting for my regular elite to be rated but it feels more in the 170s. Perhaps there should be an award who has the smaller gaps and wider range amongst the regulars here, although I know there is a collector here (Joe?) that has a huge collection of grippers. Sam Radford
Managed to get my RGC system setup to rate my own grippers using a crane scale and hand winch and works really good and better than using weights!! Just seem to be higher by a few #'s compared to CPW. I'm using a 1" strap and ensure the handles don't touch the vertical supports and pre oil the gripper before calibrating . . . any other suggestions? Sam Radford
132 WT SM (CPW Rated 130) 152 WT GM (CPW Rated 149) 175 WT E (CPW Rated 170) How are you deciding when the gripper is closed? When the handles touch and repeat this action 20-30 times to see what the values are and take the average. Even on the ones that were pre-rated i had a bit of paper that i tried to pull out when the handles touched to ensure it wasn't going too beyond the range. The average was within a few #'s of each other too. Can you suggest anything that may cause a difference in ratings?
Cannon
When do you zero out the crane scale?
Sam Radford
When do you zero out the crane scale? After I attach the hook from the hand winch . . . I think the ratings could be #1-2 less on all my ratings due to the weight of the crane scale, loop strap, carabiners and hook from hand winch? I haven't weighed them as a group to see what they weigh, then would I take this weight off the rating? Got some more grippers to rate this evening (Atomgripz) so will see how they do
