Mlstrass Posted April 25, 2008 Share Posted April 25, 2008 So a guy from work came over to workout. He's recently lost 30+ pounds by dieting and hitting the treadmill an hour every day. Probably has 25#'s more to lose to be where he wants to be. He's about 5' 7" with a 7 1/4" hand, same as mine. Guided him through the workout, 3 sets of 10 on everything to help him learn the movements. He's never lifted before, so had no bad habits which was nice. At the end of the workout we decided to mess with some of my grip stuff. Took him a couple of tries, but he got about 1" of air under the 37.5 hex with his RH. LH he was able to get the 30#. I was impressed. He also pulled around 125#'s on the 2" v-bar, but was pretty dead by then. Seems to have some solid potential, so I hope he sticks with it. He has been using the HG grippers I gave him, so that might be helping. And the best part of the night............the girlfried was so inspired by us lifting the hex blocks, that she gave the 30# a few tries and just got some air under it on one attempt.
