Deano
I know I pale into insignificance in comparison to some (ok, most) of you. But today was a good day. I've been training pretty hard with grippers for quite a while, but for the past week or so eased right off and concentrated on blockweights (actually a home made bomb + loading pin), pinching 2x600mm paving slabs together, wrist roller - over the banister of the stairs with a 10 kilo plate for about 2.5 meters and wrist curling (again with the paving slabs). Last Friday I got my IM 1, 2 and 2.5. As I've been using HG grippers (100, 200 and 250) I thought I would do well. WRONG!!! The IM grippers are far harder than I thought and feel totally different, I'm afraid to say I couldn't close a 1! Today I'm having a day off, but like most people I can't keep my hands off the grippers. I picked up the 1, set it and closed it just like that. Then I picked up the 2, and so nearly shut that too, as yet the 2.5 is some ways off. Why do we have good and bad days - I don't feel stronger? I know this is a pretty naive question, but what is a contrast bath? What is it's purpose? Deano.
