Andy
Viper,It's when you put more weight on the frontside of the pinch apparatus. That's right. Say I want to increase the weight by 1.25kg. We don't have 0.625kg plates (half of 1.25), so we have to put a single 1.25 on one end of the bar. I find front loading makes it very difficult for me to lift, but David Horne prefers it. He has incredibly strong thumbs, I don't.

mobsterone
Mike Corlett is writing a review of the contest and I've thrown out the sheets so if anyone knows the full names of: Nick Kand Scott can you let Mike or me know.

I think it was Phil K and Scott R? I spoke to Scott at the event, and as I recall, did not have a connection with any of the people there. He finished in the middle of the pack. mobsterone
Yes. Just replied on the other thread. Only Mike Corlett (USA), Jose Jara and Jorge Gonzales (both Spain) were from outside the UK.

mobsterone
No. That's why I said Spain. Like Mike Corlett they travelled here to compete.
twig
Oh! I thought they were naturalised and trained with you! Well Double Kudos to them, then!
mobsterone
I wouldn't have allowed a section option (see WSM competitor Mark Felix - naturalized Brit - 25 years in the UK choosing to be from Grenada so he could compete in the past). Hubgeezer
Mike Corlett is writing a review of the contest and I've thrown out the sheets so if anyone knows the full names of: Nick Kand Scott can you let Mike or me know. I submitted an article to Milo for publication. I go out of my way to explain the basics of grip contests, written for a general strength reader, not grip specialists. They seem to like it and it looks like it is going into the next issue. The photos I submitted, with one exception (Jose on Table Top Wrist Curl with mega weight) were not exactly "action shots", which is what they are most interested in. If any attendees have photos of the following, please PM me. You would get photo credit in Milo if published: Steve on One Hand Lift (or anyone) David on Pinch (or anyone) Chris James on Vertical Bar (or anyone) By the way, how did Chris' surgery go? Anything is appreciated. Thanks! Mike Corlett aka Hubgeezer
