Good to know. I always wondered how fine of a line it is with bending where the compound strength type lifts might help but a bender wouldn't want them to interfere and cause too much fatigue because bending looks full body intense. And like you said mobility would be really important. 

I notice you do alot of doh bends. Do you and Kevin do much reverse and underhand style or mainly stick with doh?

We do reverse every once in a while, never really try DU although I think we should lol.

Bent two reds in Ironmind pads without rubber bands. One was the harder new Red. Did this because they paused/stopped the certification for the Red. 

If they open the certification back up without any crazy rules I'll attempt to cert.

Few bends and some thick bar work

Do bend

1/4x7 g8

1/4x6 g8

2- hot dipped galvanized 60d's

 

After that worked up to 130# on AASS 2-3/8 LOADABLE DUMBBELL then did 100# every minute on the minute (EMOM) for 20 minutes with a 2-3 second hold at the top. Last rep held for 8 R and 5L. Gonna work up 5 lbs each week and see how it goes.

5- 5/16x7 O drill rod, kinked in IMP's and half suede then finished in IMP's

Red nail 'Flash'bend (IMP's rolled on leg, no rubber bands)

2- 5/16x7 CRS from @devinhoo. This is a freak batch that's super tough. First one in double leather second in IMP's and half suede.

Ready for the red 💪 your training seems to have really taking off! Is it hard to balance all the bending with grip stuff?

Nm just saw the new rule changes for the red 😒 seriously sucks for all of you benders who invested so much time & money. Hopefully this all passes and they change it back to the old rules. No doubt you'd be on that list 💪

Thank you! I find that doing the grip work first servers as a really good warm up for bending. Can't really bend first, beats up the hands too much.

Yuppp. They'll be a few guys doing the Red in the coming years but probably no one doing the Gold. Sucks bad.

Bend 2 60d's wrapped separately in IMP's. Cool litte challenge. Probably gonna do a real session tonight or tomorrow.

Failed Horrido 8.8. didn't even move 🤣

1/3x7.5 cert from @devinhoo

4- pre kinked Moose bars

2- pre kinked 5/16x7 CRS HEX

Felt really good and shocked I didn't move the 8.8 more just gotta keep chipping away.

Been busy cleaning out my garage to set up my gym. Started lifting weights after 6? years off. 

Yesterday

Deficit sumo deads with 34lvs of chains

225+chains, 9 sets of 3

Worked up to a single with 158lbs on Little Big Horn

FBBC Grab ball- 160x2

First time using both of those. Just trying to get use to them, no real plan. 

Bending

70d in IMP's

6" 70d

5.5" 70d 

Finished a pre kinked Hexabastard

First bench workout in years, just got my Titan adjustable bend today. 

Incline bench- 135x8x6 last rep paused (8 reps, 6 sets)

Grip

Super sets with LBH ON 8" loading pin and Finnish Ball

LBH-100x5x4

Finnish ball- 25x5x2 and 35x5x2

Hold at top for each. 

Just wanted to get some reps in with everything and not go too heavy.

Box squats against bands. Tension unknown but eliteFTS says about 70 each. 

145x5x5

Took bands off and did 8

Finnish ball

Worked up to 55lbs then a bunch of reps with lighter weights. Left hand is way ahead of righty. 

 

 

Did 43 for 10 or 11 then after the video cut out did 4 more left.

245x1 (felt really good, no sticking points)

Narrow grip

Superset accessories

12 Band side raises, 20 band front raises, 15 band tricep extensions and 12 rows 135lbs. 

Really not too concerned with reps, mostly want to get a good burn in each muscle group. 

Also, I need dumbbells lol

Oh I know 😅. I feel like all the steel bending might have kept my upper body in better shape so we'll see
